I'm quite old fashioned, but I'd rather a full back could defend first and foremost before adding an attacking threat. I know that's quite unfashionable and out of date these days, mind.

13 games unbeaten, but we just don't look convincing at all. No attacking threat and no urgency. Feel like we've stumbled to that, more than deserving it.

Che ... must be transfer window time again soon

Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25
SaintNewForest replied to Over land and sea's topic in The Saints
Not at all. Very frustrating when you have players of his quality not being given chances. One of the real negatives this season is the lack of chances for the (ours at least) youngsters. Even SAA dropped out after a promising start. -
Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25

Starting to get nervous about Kami Doyle. Out of contract end of the season and no sign of him getting s new one. We cannot lose a player of his talents surely? -
FA Cup Third Round - Alfreton/Walsall (h)

That's a cracking tie. Always prefer to draw teams we never (if ever) really play. -
I know ... just imagine what we could do with 11 men
-
Edozie still not getting a look in then. Starting Adams like Starting with 10 men and back to the Manning experiment. No Smallbone at all, so must be injured. Ditto Doyle (who would presumably be next in line) so bench appearances for Amo & Dibling is good to see.
-
What's his record at PL got to do with anything? We play in the championship. He ripped the championship up last season, got him "for free" this summer and we let him go. Ridiculous decision, particularly when his replacement is fucking Sulemena, who is so overhyped its unreal.
-
Honestly, we've had a shocker here. Why buy a long-term injured player, knowing the risks? Sunderland must've laughed their heads off as we rock up with a bid. Utterly ludicrous.
-
Damn his (new) injury means we're crying out for a new striker. Stewart is permanently injured. Adams is the invisible man, and bringing him on is akin to going down to 10 men. Mara ain't cutting it and needs sacking off. Is it any wonder we struggle to score?
-
Probably picked up his annual winter injury, and we won't see him again now till the Spring. Last year was the same and so was the season before.

Good to see people are reading the thread

Not sure if this is a better outcome than an ACL or not, but either way a serious injury at a crucial time. Truly gutted for him.

Get rid. Absolutely woeful player. Doesn't even show he's worth persisting with most of the time. -

82% possession🤣 -
Stretchered off today. Nasty looking injury and suspected ACL. Gutted for him.
-
Not sure if it's me, but he comes across a bit arrogant there. “I think I will get more assists if the boys catch up and come in the box - more than goals this season if they catch up” It sounds like he's saying he's too good for the team and the other players either aren't on his level or aren't on the same wavelength. Or it might be one of those that doesn't come across well in print.

Serious man crush.

Absolute myth he was the brains behind Ralph. Just one of those made up theories that quickly becomes fact.
-
Indonesia. Along with Dibling & Meghoma for the U17 world cup. Scored today and got MOTM in a 10-0 win over Cambodia. Dibling also scored.
-
Nope. Leicester still have their U21 side in it. They lost 4-0 to Fleetwood on Tuesday.
-
Think you're confusing Diamond Edwards with Dom Ballard. Ballard was fit for all of last season and made a handful of 1st team appearances sprinkled throughout the season, Edwards did his ACL shortly after his first team debut At the start of last season and has barely been seen since.
-
Well, yes, thats the surprising part ... thats just a strange move all round for him. Utter basket case of a club.
-
Correct on Doyle. It'd be an utter travesty if we lose a player of his quality for nothing. Can only assume we've tried but his party is stalling. Possibly wants more 1st team guarantees? He came on at HT at Gillingham and I thought he looked quite bright, but been nowhere near since. Been the only disappointment this season, is the lack of gametime for the likes of Doyle, Ballard and SAA. Honestly thought they'd all have more of a pathway this year.
