Les was very under appreciated in those early days; we all hear about Cortese this, Cortese that but Reed was a huge part of those early years, double promotions & europe ... it's a shame it went sour at the end and clouded the contributions he made to the club when people evaluate and judge his time here.

I agree, ive always had a feeling hes never wanted to be here. Weren't there rumours that he originally didn't want to join on loan, hence the delay,and he had some serious misgivings ... then he slagged off our fans a few weeks after joining (iirc) cos we drew at home to Rotherham, before the whole irons thing at the promotion party and coming really close to joining Ipswich instead over the summer.

Not in the clubs eyes, think of all the extra money they can now make from such corporate shite as the "Dell Pub" and the new wine bar, plus the improved hospitality sections known as the "Knightwood Lounge" From a footballing experience side of things, it's been utterly shite. A good atmosphere will come from good football, regardless of the stadium layout, you cannot manufacture a good atmosphere as we keep trying to do.
