I always hope for the best but with my realistic head on I can't see us getting anything here. Chelsea may be on the slide from earlier in the season but they haven't slid down anywhere near as far as we have.

Vardy's motormouth wife accidently spilled the beans that he is undergoing a 'full body reboot' at a London clinic. If last night's performance is anything to go by he needs to ask for a refund.

After this weekend we have Chelsea, Liverpool and Wolves before the end of March. Derby County were relegated on 29th March 2008 with 11 points. At the moment we have 9 so need 3 more to avoid that statistic and even with a Chelsea team on the slide and Wolves, I doubt we will get the points we need. Will Saints be officially named as the worst Premier League team ever at this point or will it be when it is mathematically impossible for us to stay up? Even a poor Leicester in 19th place are 8 points clear of us.

We have been crying out for a decent striker since Ings left. It seems everyone else, supporters, commentators, pundits, can all see it, but those who can do something about it, can't. Boggles my brain!

It's nice to have your moment in the sun though, isn't it? We haven't had much chance to get sunstroke for quite a while now.

Just what I need, a 2nd loss at home to a South Coast club in a week What depresses me the most is that, not so long ago, a fixture against Bournemouth and Brighton had me fairly confident of 3 points from both games. It underlines just how far we have fallen.

Why should the club be trying to win him round? He has a contract to play football and his refusal should invalidate that contract. Kowtowing to him and players like him give them a power they should not be allowed to have. Clubs should clamp down hard and show these self-important players who hold a club to ransom that there are strict consequences for their behaviour, otherwise football will see more of this.

Why was Slot on the touchline? I thought he'd been shown a red card at the end of the Everton v L:iverpool earlier in the week. Do the refs turn a blind eye to him, too?
-
That's exactly what should happen. He is being paid, far too much, to kick a ball around a patch of grass. He isn't particularly good at it but he has now thrown his toys out of his pram and refuses to play, so he shouldn't be paid. If we are not seeing Harwood-Bellend for the same reason then he shouldn't be paid, either.

So do I. He needs to move away from this caricature of a football club and take Dibling with him. Both deserve much better.

Juric reminds me of a bewildered Arthur Askey. Only those of a certain age will know what I mean.

You're a lost cause, mate, like the rest of us.

Most of the team look as if they are running through treacle. That's when they aren't standing still. It would be interesting to see what their training sessions consist of.

Man City with a mountain to climb at the Bernabeu. Oh dear, what a shame, never mind.

I am struggling to find any hope for this game. Bournemouth are everything I would love Saints to be. They have European football to play for and they won't be letting us stand in their way. 0-3.

I remember my eldest son coming home and saying he had followed a van with a sticker in the back window saying 'Come home, Agent Redknapp, your mission is accomplished;. He said what a good job I hadn't been with him.
-
I agree. There was a faint glimmer of hope in his first couple of games but that has been snuffed out very quickly. Where on earth do SR find this endless line of clowns?
-
If you mean we may have drawn Plymouth Argyle in the next round they would dispatch is in the same way they did Liverpool. I haven't see a Saints team play with the enthusiasm and determination that the Plymouth players showed yesterday in a very long time.
-
And who is that likely to be? Nathan Jones, Reuben Selles, Russell Martin and Ivan Juric. All on SR's watch. I have zero faith in their ability to appoint a decent manager.
-
Burnley have only let 9 goals in this season compared to our 36. Who's second string?
-
Saints beating Man U 6-3 as the United players couldn't see each other, according to Fergie.

I will have to cheer on Spurs for my Dad tonight. His mate, Len Duquemin, was the first Channel Islander to play big time football when he joined Spurs in Division 1 in 1950. I can picture my Dad with his chair pulled up to a tiny black and white TV screen to watch Spurs in the FA Cup final. They had already won the League. He had 2 bottles of beer by the side of his chair and a signed photo of Len on top of the TV. He had the sound on the TV turned down and had the radio on as he reckoned the wireless, as it was called then, gave a better commentary. A football fanatic and a great Dad. Come on you Spurs!!!

You are wise not to use Wickes. My daughter and son-in-law chose Wickes and not only were the units not fit for purpose for a busy family kitchen but they also had the installers from Hell. The job which was booked for 8 working days took over 3 months. Wickes after sales service was pathetic. Once they have your cash they are not interested. The Area Manager reluctantly came to have a look and was appalled at the 18 fitting errors. For example, the extractor fan was not fitted using the pack provided but by strips of duct tape. We eventually had a lovely installer from Wickes who righted all the wrongs but we wouldn't use them again. I have friends who have used Wren without any problem.

Perhaps Juric doesn't want him because Armstrong has shown himself to be, at best, a Championship player. Juric may be looking long term and feels that although AA would be ok for us next season, if we managed to get promoted at the end of that season, we are back to square one where AA is concerned. We must learn from our mistakes and sticking with AA when we know his capabilities would be pointless. I like the fact that Juric is thinking long-term.
