  1. A prime example of the moronic idiots who send hate messages to black players although in his case his children are being fed by Marcus Rashford's meals scheme. It's all ok though because he was hammered. They think they can be invisible. Name and shame them.
  2. United don't like selling . If they can keep Phil Jones, they can keep anyone.
  3. Nothing that I can see. I don't condone racism on any level but sadly there are those in our society who do and 3 black players failing to score their penalties would have been all they needed to start the abuse and monkey emojis. I treat people they way I would like them to treat me. I don't have the answer to racism and I don't even know if there is one.
  4. Marcus Rashford should never have been in the Euro squad. On his own admission he had a poor season for Man U and been bothered by injuries but for some reason he was included in the squad. He has kept the bench warm for most of the tournament only playing 80 minutes of football and to cap it all he delivered that awful penalty. It would have been better all round for him to have missed the Euros and let him concentrate on the surgery and recuperation he needs before the season starts.
  5. So why do you mention money in your original post? What difference should that make? Should Pickford always keep a clean sheet because he earns thousands a week?
  6. What a stupid post. I don't know Southgate's system for picking penalty takers. Does he tell them they are taking one or just ask for volunteers? Either way the likes of Grealish and Sterling should have been given 5th spot instead of a 19 year old lad. Money, what domestic team you play for just doesn't come into it. He will carry the can from people like you but 2 others missed their penalties and for 75 minutes we were the poorer team.
  7. Perhaps we could tempt Guly de Prado out of retirement too.
  8. Italy have beaten Belgium and Spain to get to the final and England haven't had to face one of the top teams to get there, so we shall see. I remember the feeling of being in the pub and watching England lift the World Cup. It was a great feeling so it would be good to see them win another trophy. Hope Pickford's in control of his emotions. He looked to have matured a bit at the start of the Euros but there were signs of the old Pickford in last night's game.
  9. Yep. Just ask the Chelsea fans.😃
  10. Sorry, but I am still not completely convinced that Gareth Southgate is the right manager for England. When Kane was sitting on the pitch last night, nursing his knee, Southgate has Rashford warming up! Why, Rashford when he has Sancho? Am I missing something here? I would love to see us start with Foden, Mount, Sancho, Bellingham and Grealish against Ukraine but I can't see the conservative, cautious Southgate changing his line-up from last night. A 2-0 win against one of the poorest German sides I have seen in some time will convince him his team selection is fine.
  11. I have always liked Luke Shaw. His face didn't fit with Van Gaal and Mourinho but he has had a good season and deserves his Euro place.
  12. All credit to the Swiss team. They just wouldn't give in. The TV cameras often showed this Swiss supporter in a sun hat and glasses who displayed throughout that match the agony and ecstasy of the football fan. What an amazing game.
  13. No way. It is a test of skill and strength of mind. A lottery would be picking the winner out of a hat.
  14. Why is that then? Good looking, fit as hell for his years and one of the world's greatest footballers. It's a joy to watch a player of Ronaldo's quality.
  15. As you say, if Rashford was a West Brom player, would he have been in the squad given the poor season he has had?
  16. Good post. According to the FA, Southgate is safe until after the next World Cup. No pressure or reason for him to stop playing cautious, boring football, then. He has some talented, young players at his disposal. I want to see them given the chance.
  17. Did you watch England tonight? On that form they won't beat any of them.
  18. Maybe they are encouraging Grealish to stay if they show him they want to strengthen the squad?
  19. I have to laugh at Man U's forum. Topic this morning is why Pogba can play world class football for France but can't manage it for United. Lots of disgruntled fans questioning his commitment to them. It wonder if it's more than that. When Pogba plays for France he is partnered by Kante, a little powerhouse of a midfielder. When he plays for United he is partnered by Fred, enough said. When Pogba plays for France he has Mbappe in front of him but when he plays for United he sees Martial, mooching about with a face like a slapped arse and wearing a pair of wooly gloves. I rest my case.
  20. The best place after a hospital. It's scary how a professional footballer can go through medicals and play fast, high action games for years without any problems, then suddenly collapse. My eldest son's friend died in the middle of a football match. He was only 14. His poor mother never got over it. Hats off to the medics.
  21. The bottom line is there have always been and will always be racists. When I was a teenager in the 60's, sitcoms like Steptoe and Son, Love Thy Neighbour, On The Buses and Till Death Do Us Part made comments which were taken as banter. Every culture had a nickname. From what I could see nobody took offence because you gave as good as you got. Today, every word or action comes under the microscope to see is there is anything offensive in it. Taking the Knee has not had the desired outcome. The likes of Sterling, Rashford etc still get racist comments and monkey emojis after a poor performance. No matter what is put into practice to try to stop racism, there will always be those out there who are racist.
  22. Lingard has missed out for the in-form goal machine, Marcus Rashford. 🤪
  23. Tuchel has some work to do on Werner. I think he's scored 6 goals this season which is way off the mark for a top club striker. He needs to up his awareness too. Goodness knows how many times he's offside. I am pleased that Che has been named in the Scotland side for the Euros. Great experience for him which may bode well for us next season. 🤞
  24. Isn't hindsight great?😁
