Sad but very true. I never expected to be wondering where the points are coming from In September!
-
You can take the manager out of Southampton but...................................😂
-
Spot on as usual. I felt so upbeat when Dibling scored in the opening minutes and hoped we would build on that. BBD missing such a good chance to put some space between us and Ipswich went to waste. I didn't expect to be thinking about 6 pointers this early in the season but here we go again.
-
How many chances did our strikers have to kill this game? As for BBD he is beginning to get on my nerves. Just counting down the minutes to celebrate our first win then a jammy equaliser. Cheesed off.
-
I think when he looks in the mirror he sees Guardiola staring back at him. Still short of a reliable, solid striker which is going to cause problems all season. Everton may be below us but they are scoring goals He comes across as a stubborn so and so as his insistence on playing out from the back shows. We aren't good enough for that and rival teams know it. I hope SR won't leave it until we have one foot in the abyss to the Championship.
-
Perhaps 1 point then. 😂
-
You would hope so but I have just watched Bournemouth play Chelsea and they were unlucky not to come away with a point. Everton will be smarting from losing a 2 nil lead to come away with a 3-2 lose in their last 2 matches so may have a point to prove. On present form I think 4 points may be nearer the mark.

You are bang on the money mentioning a softly softly approach in the run-up to City's case. It sticks out like a sore thumb and they hope the idiot fans won't join up the dots. FFP outcomes are clearly not a level playing field for certain clubs.
-
Danny Murphy said if Martin continues to play this way we will be another Burnley.
-
I like Danny Murphy. One of the best as pundits go and as you say he was spot on. Martin is a stubborn sod and I doubt he will change the way he wants us to play. He will ignore the 'narrative' of the supporters. I hope the club have a decent Plan B waiting in the wings.
-
I agree with you but money talks, doesn't it? Perhaps he feels if the big Prem clubs aren't interested he may as well boost his bank balance. Personally, I hope Saudi football goes the same way as Chinese football did.

It was mentioned a while ago and towards the end of last season Lineker made some very pointed comments about his successor when Jenas was on MOTD. He has been the front runner for a while. I'm not sure when Gary Lineker eventually goes but there have been odds on his replacement in the news since Jenas's sacking.
-
I do wish everything wasn't a tick box exercise. Whoever will be the next presenter of Match of the Day let them get that position by being the best person for that job. Ignore their gender, colour, sexual preferences, religion etc. just to satisfy the woke brigade.
-
The runners and riders to take over from Gary Lineker are listed in the Mirror as Mark Chapman, Gabby Logan and Alex Scott with Rio Ferdinand and Micah Richards also possible. If that's the choices then it would have to be Mark Chapman for me.
-
According to BBC News at 10 last night, TalkSport were unaware of his sacking until their show had started. They have announced that he will no longer be on TalkSport for the present time.
-
Jermaine Jenas sacked from both Match of the Day and The One Show for inappropriate behaviour. I won't miss him too much. Not my favourite pundit.
-
RESPECT. You should try it sometime.
-
Then there is no hope for you and those like you, that for one or possibly two weekends, sport takes a back seat whilst the respectful and unselfish amongst us mourn our Queen. Of all the on-line sites I have been on this morning, this is the only one with negative and nasty comments. I thought Saints fans were better than that.

No disrespect to Graham Potter but I don't consider him as competent a coach as Tuchel. Brighton may be going through a good patch at present but once the dust settles they are at best, mid-table. Potter will need to be getting instant results, or else. Meanwhile, Adam Lallana is temporary coach. Lucky old Brighton.
-
I think you'll find Dinamo Zagreb struck the killer blow, not Saints.
-
Aubameyang isn't the easiest player to keep under control as Arteta is well aware. Tuchel had worked with him before so knows how to keep him in his place. Aubameyang at his best is a good player which Chelsea appear to need at the moment. Be interesting to see how he behaves now.
-
I didn't have Tuchel down on my 'At Risk' list. The new owner I suppose. Brighton have been asked for permission to speak to Graham Potter. The secure world of football management.
-
Brentford are looking solid this season so far. Toney scored a hat trick yesterday so will need close marking. I am hoping for at least a point but with our misfiring strikers, not so sure.
-
1 step forward and 2 back. I had hoped we would build on our result against Chelsea but then I remind myself I am a Saints fan. I was getting confident about Brentford, now I am not too sure.
-
Tuchel had a face like a slapped arse. I wondered if Ralph might get a clout around the ear from him at full time.
