If we wanted to pay him £6.5k pw we could but I'd imagine they have a strict pay structure for this age group for non financial reasons. Insane being offered that sort of money before he's even able to sign a pro contract

We need a true CDM alongside JWP. Don't know much about this lad other than city rate him highly, their fans seemed miffed about him leaving and the secret scout on twitter stated city were signing the most in demand youth midfielder in Europe when they signed him from Anderlecht back in 2020. On paper seems ideal signing. Be nice to compliment these youthful signings with a bit of experience. Young players will be inconsistent so we need to make sure that when they are that the team can still find ways to win.

Jacob is a brilliant writer. He did some great write ups on saints two seasons ago, carried it on with Bournemouth last season by all accounts.

Was speaking to a goalkeeper coach who has played at reasonable level himself and knows a few people in the game, he reckons Bazuna is already a brilliant keeper. He said his ability on the ball is A grade example for what is needed in a modern day keeper.

PL average wage is or was 45k per week. Probably higher now. If he's going to be number 1 then it is reasonable for him to demand more than £45k imo

By the reports I've read this guy has all the attributes of a modern day goalkeeper. Yes he's young and inexperienced but he would do well to be worse than both McCarthy and Forster. Both of them were poor with ball at their feet and made significant number of mistakes leading to goals. Forster made some good saves after his return but let's not forget he was at fault for a few goals also

One thing is for sure he will have been developed to play out from the back comfortably in the way Edersen does for City. Both McCarthy and Forster old school keepers with no technical ability with the ball whatsoever. That has to be a plus point.

Midfield is not dynamic nor resilient enough so Winks isn't the answer. Need a dedicated CDM who can break up play and protect defence. I'm sure there is plenty of viable options in Europe or South America that won't break the bank.

Good news. I'd imagine they will strengthen the squad significantly to help team push for promotion to WSL in near future.

Ralph's post match comments of late do suggest he has no idea how to fix things. There was nothing positive about how we were playing over the last couple of months. Defensively we were an embarrassment. Attacking wise we offered very little. No creativity and no identity. Recipe for disaster which it was only for a lucky win versus arsenal and draw at Brighton to save our bacon. Ralph's tactics can be easily countered by opposition and he then has no plan B. In game management is a total shambles. Also seems to be unrest amongst squad. Contract situations are bizarre and maybe root cause of the unrest as well ridiculous tactics and decisions being made. Likeable guy but his time at the club should be over. Fans have turned. Players downed tools.

Championship is part time contract so assume semi pro. WSL clubs have to be professional

Kayla Rendell is excellent. Imo goalkeeping standard in women's football is generally poor still, even in top tier. Rendell would easily be able to play in the WSL.

The ladies did brilliantly well. Second half was a struggle at times but they kept at and showed real grit to see it through. Superb triple winners 🏆🏆🏆 Saints support was fantastic. Outsung wolves fans and actually outnumbered them which was surprising given the short distance to travel in comparison.

This has Leicester winning 3-0 written all over it. We are a team full of disinterested, demotivated and fragile snowflakes. Ralph will play the same lame tactics then come out with more pathetic crap after the game.

I genuinely think he set us up with the thought that Liverpool would play much stronger line up then they did. He persevered with the tactics despite seeing it was Liverpool's second/third string because he's stubborn and inflexible. It was a pathetic intent and it's no exaggeration to think that had it been a full strength Liverpool side they would have scored many more goals.

Will Ralph get more after saying it maybe a good thing we turned shit with summer transfer window on the horizon? 😏
