Not ideal from our prospective that both ABK and Salisu going to miss that important getting to know new gaffer period. Both are young and raw with huge potential but they need to be coached intensely to adapt to what Jones asks of his defenders.

Clearly Ralph had issues with his man management skills. After 4 years which is way beyond average shelf life for a premier League manager everything became stale. Players lost interest in his tactics and basically downed tools. Don't see whats wrong with Athletic reporting what they've been told now Ralph has departed. If you don't trust your sources you wouldn't write it is the basic rule of good journalism surely? Better than doing it whilst he was in charge although the Redmond article probably not ideal timing in hindsight. Need to get new manager in before world cup break. He then has a few weeks to work on some stuff and gel the players. We must line up striker and creative player at start of window, even if that means overpaying. We cannot afford to drag our feet, it's our only chance imo.

He doesn't seem the type and probably just a coincidence but he hasn't featured in squad since that daily mail report about Ralph losing dressing room. He actually got on for last few mins at spurs then dropped completely since which is strange given he's not been declared injured.

He's ok in a low block but given how we want to play he is like a lamb to slaughter because of his slowness and his particular inability to defend crosses.

Hasn't made squad since spurs. Ralph hasn't said he's injured so assume just not in favour. Walcott weird one because Ralph said on Thursday he wasn't training with first team. Same day the website then showed photos of him training with first team. Surprised to see him on bench yesterday. I know B team only played night before but we have Edwards, Morgan and Ballard who should be given a chance ahead of Walcott imo.

This lad is a brilliant talent along with Edwards, Doyle and Morgan. They should be knocking on the first team door but I would rather have a manager in place who is more likely to nurture their talent rather than negatively impact it.

His man management skills are horrific. The way he throws players under a bus in the media will only result in losing the dressing room. It's not about being liked it's about being respected as a coach. His handling of players and shoddy tactics are the main reasons for our awful form.

I agree. He's struck up good partnerships with both ings and broja who are both more natural finishers than Adams. If we play two upfront then Adams is a useful option alongside another striker who will be better equipped at finishing.

I like Che but there is no way we will command a fee of £30m for him. He has two years left on contract and the likes of forest and Leeds are not going to pay over £20m for him. If he was a better finisher he would be a top PL striker. His all round game is excellent but he's paid to score goals and you can't say you would be confident in him scoring when he has time to think and place his shot. He has a unorthodox shooting technique as well which was analysed by Jacob Tanswell couple of years back which basically pointed out that Adams puts power over precision but flaws in his technique meant he was missing gilt edges chances. No doubt he has improved since then but he's still not got a look of a natural finisher.

Playing the same awful defenders including bringing on Stephens was an utter piss take from Ralph. Tactics are awful. We are exposed far too often in wide areas and then fail to defend the crosses. We are too easy to play against. Players especially the defenders week in week out show no resilience.

Probably more to do with salary cap rather than transfer kitty. Between Theo, moussa and bednarek they probably free up at least £150k per week.

Be pretty stupid of us to not do homework on work permit before proceeding with a deal.

Our wage bill versus turnover was over the 70% FFP rules during pandemic I seem to recall. So it makes sense we need to offload some deadwood and bednarek to ease the salary cap

Both livramento and perraud are injured. Wouldn't read much into this as we are light on options currently.
