We've had so many dreadful performances this season and I would add both Leeds away and Brentford (x2) to the pot. Looking through the league results this season we've hardly had any decent performances over 90 mins. The games below stood out from memory. Leicester away Chelsea home Utd home All the above were with Ralph. Under Jones - v City in league cup Under Selles perhaps Chelsea away but Chelsea missed a lot of chances so on another day we could have lost that easily. Our wins against Bournemouth, Everton and Leicester were patchy performances.

I don't think Rasmus is even this stupid but then again he keeps raising that bar of stupidity 🫣

Given how bad Leeds have been of late it is rather telling we made them look like world beaters at Elland road. We were absolutely pathetic. It was a 1-0 hammering in truth. We never laid a glove on them.

He's right. Adam Armstrong is a fraud of a footballer. He didn't pull up any trees in the B team and then gets a recall. If you are Mara, Onachu, Adams and Sulemana you'd be livid.

I suspect we will have a few changes in the line up due to injuries and "fatigue". Only complacency from Newcastle will stop us being hammered. On one hand I'm all for given some of the B team players a run out but on the other hand it would be cruel to put them in a side that can't be bothered and lacks any fortitude.

I think this would be a sensible protest because we are not a rowdy fan base so the conventional protest outside stadium wouldn't happen. Ticket sales are clearly not matching actual attendances as so many empty seats so the fans are already not bothering to turn up knowing they will be watching a snoozefest.

So who is the left back? Looks like Perraud won't be fit for Sunday. Need balance not KWP playing there. I suspect we have a number of injuries / doubts for game on Sunday so I wonder if any of these lads could step up? Despite having 31 man squad we don't have another fit recognised left back or centre midfielder (exc Diallo who is terrible).

Bazuna should have been dropped weeks ago. Bit late now and expect McCarthy to suddenly turn it on 11 months after his last league start. Bournemouth shite in the air so Selles drops talk Paul completely from the squad lol. We all know he's a carthorse but at least this is the type of game he could actually do something useful. We need creativity and goals so he selected elynoussi and Armstrong 🤯

I assume we cannot recall Tella but can he play for us once Burnley have completed their season on 8th May which means he could feature in our last three games?

The players have been over coached and now play with a straight jacket on. They have no adaption in their locker at all. They have simply become Robots with no football personality. Two down to Palace in a must win game but they chose to keep playing meaningless square passes across the back. Yes they lack confidence and bravery which is obvious when you are rooted to the bottom of the table but every week it's the same crap being served up and has been since February 2022. Before that we had patches of it but we also had purple patches mixed in but now there is nothing but sheer mind numbing football.

James Beattie the obvious one that springs to mind but the key is to let the new manager pick his own backroom staff not the club because ultimately the manager has to trust those around him and they have to be onboard with his style and tactics.

Agree with all this. The ease in which Palace played through us from start of the second half was nothing short of scandalous. First half was dull but we were comfortable containing Palace for most part without putting them under any real pressure certainly not sustained pressure. We really struggle to play at a high tempo and revert back to walking with the ball and playing it across the back line. When you think about our relegation rivals they in most part have periods of pressure when they play each other but we simply don't and it's no wonder we create very little let alone score. It's just far to easy to defend against. I think to both Leeds and West ham games when we was one nil down both of them should have got nervous and started to drop deeper as we took the game to them but it simply didn't happen. In fact Leeds actually continued taking game to us and looked like the only team going to score. These players lack mental fortitude no doubt and some bad coaching habits are ingrained but the overall malaise at the club means a major reset and clear out from top to bottom needed.

The home atmosphere was bloody horrendous today but this team and manager give us nothing to get behind. Constantly passing it across the back and no one actually showing any bravery or guile with the ball. First half was dull but we was reasonably comfortable containing Palace albeit we lacked any real focal point in attack. Second half was just horrific. The way we allowed Palace to play through us with such ease was embarrassing. Once the first goal went in the team went i to hiding and literally no one rolled their sleeves up to get us back into the game. Unfortunately we need a massive reset as these players are mentally weak as piss and Dragan needs to get rid of the decision makers.

I'd like to see a 4-3-3 with Sulemana and Edozie supporting Tall Paul with a midfield three of Lavia, JWP and Charly but I suspect we will get the usual dross line up and tactics i.e. elynoussi, Walcott and Mara.

B team winning 2-0. Ballard got the second. Throw the lad into the first team ffs can't do any worse than the other Muppets.

Very harsh on Adams who imo has justified his price tag. He's done ok. He needs a more natural finisher of a striker alongside him but his all round game is excellent. He and Ings were excellent together and complimented eachother perfectly.

Perraud is not good at defending and doesn't have the pace to get back quickly in a 4-2-2-2 system. AMN been one do our better players in recent weeks. It should be sulemana not elynoussi starting but Selles is trying to be solid and frustrate west ham. Shame elynoussi is unbelievably bad.

KWP left back and AMN right back. Perraud and Elynoussi combo is horrific.

Dreadfully uninspiring line up. How does Perraud and Elynoussi get another chance to show they are utter crap? Selles looks like he wants to frustrate west ham and then utilise the bench. Problem is that west ham midfield will absolutely bully us and we will be 2/3 down before those subs are planned.

Tella is not a winger. He doesn't have the technical skills to be a winger. He's a striker because he's quick and clearly now knows where the net is.

I read a horrifying stat last night. Nathan Tella has scored more goals from open play (5) in his last two games than we have since October 23rd. 🤯
