I reckon it was Les and Ralph testing the water to see if the fanbase were still excited about potential new signings. If there was no excitement or interest, they could happily park transfers for January and concentrate on securing our small club status.

It doesn't matter if the football is s**t, as long as we're all sitting comfortably to watch it! I'm assuming the plan would be to eventually pass on the cost of the increased customer experience to the customer too...
