The report says he's out of contract at the end of the season. I guess that reduces the fee but I can't believe it'll be that nominal!
-
Darn - it was a nice thought whilst it lasted!
-
In the NOTW match report of the Barnsley game, they reported that he was left out and is now expected to make an initial loan move somewhere before a permanent move, for a nominal fee, in January. Come on Rupey - he's a local lad who came through our youth system - any chance of using what minimal reserves we have left to bring him home???

Doncaster 0-2 Saints - Post Match Reaction
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
A good, much needed win even if, reading the thoughts of those who were there, the performance was a little sketchy. Let's hope it restores a little confidence and provides us with a platform to build on. Good to hear that McG had another tantrum. It wouldn't be a proper Saints game at the moment if he didn't spit his dummy out at some point. Just a shame that Stern's done his hamstring as I'd far rather see him and Pekhart up front, now we're apparently playing with 2 strikers (out of interest - can you have a formation if you're playing total football?)! -
TBH, I can appreciate that he's being played out of position and this may affect his performance. For me, it's his attitude that concerns me; the on-pitch tantrums on Saturday were disgraceful - whatever happened to doing a job for the team??
-
Maybe it'll be "Stern off the mark!", which will detail Stern's relief at getting his first goal of the season with a footnote that Saints lost 3-1 at Rotherham.
-
If this type of performance goes on much longer, the players could take part in a 'spot the fan' competition.
-
We let Rotherham beat us to save money on expensive weekday trips and late night returns. Those overtime rates are a killer!
-
I doubt it. It's looking a great idea to sign two injured players when parts of the rest of the team needed strengthening.

Who is looking forward to Saturday
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache replied to ladysaint's topic in The Saints
Saturday is fast becoming the day, before the day, before the day when ridicule must be faced due to the football team I support. -
Even Dickie Davies would do better than this current lot.
-
Why wait? Next home game?

F**k off Rupert, f**k off Mike "Traitor" Wilde, f**k off Jan, f**k off Dutch total football and f**k off seamless transition of youngsters into the first team. And, yes, I'm f**ked off too.

would you settle for administration...
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache replied to JustMike's topic in The Saints
We, the fans, have always given our all but, with continued disappointments like tonight, it becomes ever harder. Unfortunately, the seamless transition of our youngsters into the first team stretches to not giving a sh*t about performances too. -
Bring on Heaney, Watson and Shipperley. Only way we'll get 3 goals in the last 5 minutes again...
-
What we need is an ambitious, young British manager. There's a bloke at Leicester doing well, Pearson's his name, I think. D'oh... Sorry Jan - it's looking like you've wasted your money buying out your Helmond Sports contract.
-
Just checked the Premiership and Championship tables and can't seem to find Rotherham in either! Yet they seem to be beating us?! Cup football, eh?
-
He actually said we were going to try a new cistern to make sure all our hopes truly go down the pan.

Fame! I wanna live for ever...

As far as I remember, Burley got rid of Ricardo because he was on Prem money and, with only 1 year left on his contract, he didn't want to offer him a new, equally well paid deal. He had other, much less talented players to squanders those funds on! I believe he only got a mighty £100k-£150k for him, too, which is wonderful management all round really.
-
I can't seem to recall Port Vale's desperation to hang onto him, last year, I must admit.

Saints 0-0 Barnsley - Reaction/Doughnuts/Lucy Pinder Thread
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
I'm just glad there's now a seamless transition for youth team players to integrate fully into the first team. I just hope the scholars are able to make the leap and attain the standard set today. -
Absolutely. Anyone who runs toward his own goal, looking like the petulant kid who deliberately scored own goals at school, has a serious attitude problem. God knows how he'll react if the fans were ever to really get on his back, as happened to Ricardo Fuller.
-
Nope. Just won't raise enough. Maybe if we throw in Rupes and David Jones we might raise a quid. What we really need is a mega rich oil billionaire (who's also willing to throw in free petrol with each season ticket bought).

Robert Mugabe, you say? He must have a few quid. Needs must and all that! No way I can sit through much more of today's tripe.
