  1. At 1 up, a clean sheet would guarantee the 3 points!
  2. Aside from home to the Skates, home to Ipswich. Would be nice to beat them and see Roy Keane sacked, especially after his antics when Utd sent us down.
  3. Is his "groin problem" mentioned in the Echo serious, a la the injury which kept him out for the best part of 2 years, or just a niggle (possibly brought on by playing regularly after such a long time out)? Anyone know?
  4. 90 mins to go until the loan window shuts - I guess it's not looking that likely that we'll sign someone unless Donnelly's trial has gone well enough to be turned into a loan.
  5. I put this on the other Trotman thread... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...on/8376305.stm Preston centre-half Mawene picked up an injury on Monday night. Maybe this was why Alan Irvine was watching us - to see how Trotman's getting on, with a view to having him back?
  6. As long as AP is bringing in players who are better in their position than who we have currently, then surely it's a good thing? Also allows him to try and ship out more youngsters, to gain experience, and those who aren't getting games, in the hope their 'new' club turns the move into a permanent one.
  7. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/preston/8376305.stm Preston centre-half Mawene picked up an injury on Monday night. Maybe this was why Alan Irvine was watching us - to see how Trotman's getting on, with a view to having him back?
  8. Exodus Geohaghon has joined Peterborough in the Championship today (presumably because ex-Kettering manager Mark Cooper has just taken over there). Be interesting to see how he gets on and whether we've missed out.
  9. Our owner is considerably richer than theirs. Unless we want to sell (or Adam Lallana makes it clear he wants to be sold and we comply), we have no need to sell. Hope you enjoyed the game Gordon...
  10. Think Bart needs a proper run of games to see whether he's the real deal or disaster waiting to happen. He's going to get that now...
  11. Let's hope he's another impact player not getting a game at a Championship side, like Antonio was at Reading.
  12. Oh, and great result too!!!
  13. Lambert top league goalscorer in any of the top four divisions. Definitely out of sorts...
  14. Fingers crossed for a swift return for KD. Until then - best of luck Bart - here's the chance you wanted!!
  15. Thinking about it, didn't someone say recently they'd heard a whisper that we might be after Warren Feeney, if we could move Saga on in January? Maybe we'll try and loan him in before then?
  16. I like the idea of signing Feeney. Had a decent stint at Dundee Utd, last year, if I remember correctly, and seems popular amongst the Northern Irish fans. Def think it's best for Saga to move on as his heart obviously isn't here otherwise I'm sure AP would use him.
  17. Indeed. Although I said that about Van Damme too...
  18. Given our current form, it looks like a win for us but their players will (surely) be out to impress their new manager, so it could be tough. Nonetheless, 3-1 Saints and me and the boy will be there to see it.
  19. Hammond - class (therefore no need for Jermaine Wright!!!).
  20. No time to talk about your bird. This thread is about signing Michail Antonio.
  21. Decent point after being 2 down with 20 minutes to go. Feel it's a measure of how nicely we're coming along that I'm disappointed we got ourselves into that position in the first place! Can't make my mind up whether we should start with Antonio and Connolly now because they're having a major impact when thrown on but is it partly because they're coming on fresh, when defenders are tiring?
  22. I'm not sure that Matt Paterson is 178cm either (if the OS is to be believed). He must be standing on a stool in that photo, as he's about the same height as Bart and Trotman!
  23. ...this too!
