  1. Oops - missed that bit! Bit concerned if it's true that we are missing out on players to our rivals, though.
  2. Does anyone find it odd that we've heard nothing from Pardew yet? Lots of managers around talking about plans for the new season but not a lot from ours.
  3. I'm guessing you're saying our major rival for the title, already relegated from a higher division, has brought in their sixth signing already? Or is it that you think we should've gone for Gary Teale?
  4. Block 5 mentioned that he'd had an e-mail saying that we were about to sign a right-back, striker and midfield general on one of the other transfer related threads. Given that there's no real rumours, it's time for me to have a wild unsubstantiated stab in the dark as to who two of them might be (and it's a bit Norwich related!). Brentford have signed Michael Spillane from Norwich today (according to Sky), who can play anywhere across the back four but started off the season at right back for them, so maybe they've given up on Simon Francis, from Southend, and we've nipped in there? Just because there are free transfers available doesn't mean we're restricted to going for freebies - not with Markus' cash! In the same article, on Sky, it says that Norwich haven't been able to agree a contract with Darel Russell and he's been released. Maybe he's the midfielder and we've put together a more attractive option? Wild guesses, as I say, but stranger things have happened!
  5. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maksym_Kalynychenko This fella? I'm guessing either he does brilliantly on FM or you know something? Not a name you just pull out of a hat!
  6. Always best to get a put down right, when you make one.
  7. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/8249872.Exeter_chase_ex_Saint_Thomson/ Echo speculating Thomson could be on way to Exeter
  8. Why can't Fonte do it? Speaks decent English and I imagine his Portuguese is ok too...
  9. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_6240168,00.html Well we won't be bringing in Albert Adomah - off to Bristol City according to Sky.
  10. Well done for saying that. That's them screwed...
  11. Lisbie was linked in January, before we bought Barnard, IIRC.
  12. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_6238370,00.html I see Lee Trundle's been released by Swansea. Is it now time for the annual Lee Trundle to Saints thread?
  13. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2081179,00.html Looking at the pic on the OS, I can't believe they've made Rickie queue up with the rest of us to get his complementary tickets...
  14. Thirded! Although, given the paucity of rumours around, I'd be pleased if we signed anyone.
  15. Depends if we're told how the transfer fee is to be paid, TBH.
  16. Worse than any of that are that there are no rumours coming out of the club, as to who we might be about to buy. How are we supposed to greet Oliver Bierhoff or Carsten Jancker when they arrive, if we don't know they're on their way???
  17. Hasn't he just played at the World Cup? Unlikely to go from there to English Div 3, surely?
  18. On the BBC website, it says that Rovers are hoping to announce a signing before they return for pre-season training...
  19. Darn. I was hoping it was from somewhere more reliable!
  20. Interesting. Where've you picked this snippet up from?
  21. Might be a bit different after today...
  22. I'm gonna go for 8th July. I also believe Alan Pardew's favourite colour is white (but only when it's got a red sash on it).
  23. SouthamptonLegend, Southampton says... 5:46pm Sat 26 Jun 10 ive just seen jermaine pennant in ocean village and he said saints are a big ambitious club and he's back from spain to talk to a number of clubs with ambition ..... Perhaps he'll be lining up alongside this fella in our team for next year, according to a comment on the Echo website. Or not.
  24. Another player mentioned earlier in this thread, Roy O'Donovan, has gone elsewhere (Coventry). I'm sure Boothroyd wanted him when at Colchester, so no surprise he's taken him Cov, now he's there.
