Let's hope we don't offer him a "dream return to St Mary's"...
-
And it would seem we're too embarrassed to make that news public...

Ralph seems to be a master at coaching individuality and unpredictability out of players in favour of rigidity and predictability. When Djenepo first arrived he looked confident, scored goal of the month and I thought he might turn out to be decent. Two years with Ralph and he looks appalling. Same with Broja but in a shorter space of time. Give Ralph De Bruyne and Mbappe and he'll have them at League 2 level within a season easily...

In a perfect world, we'd keep JWP, KWP, Tino, Perraud and maybe Stu Armstrong, Salisu and Adams. Beyond that, get rid of the lot and do a complete re-build. Obviously, that's not practical or likely but that's my 'Carlsberg' answer to the question. Incoming, I'd love us to see a return the McMenemy ways of picking up a few talented players towards the end of their playing days with a couple of years left in them to complement youngsters either not getting a game at the big clubs or those coming through the youth team. And if we could attract the odd David Armstrong-style pro in his prime every now and again, great. It's blindingly obvious we have no experienced pros to guide us through tricky games/periods and just flounder at the first sign of any pressure.

Don't worry, if Bazunu is as talented as they say he could be, we'd only probably be giving up 2 or 3 games before Macca's produced enough cock ups to get dropped.

Or introduce a new mid-game 'managerial substitution' option. "Ralph, you can do the first half but then at half time, when we might need to do something different, you're off..."

Huge game today! Could be the first full season under Ralph we don't lose a match 9-0. And we face off against one of the teams to beat us like that. Come on boys, you got this!! -

We can't. We'll need to know whether or not we need Premier League or Championship/Football League sleeve badges for it to look accurate...

More crap. Time for a change of manager and to move on some of the deadwood, quickly if we can.

Would holding them to 5 feel like a win? They have Villa and Chelsea before us so is it too much to hope they'll be knackered??? -

Abysmal, pedestrian football again. Passionless drivel from the manager down. Only one team wanted to win after half time and it wasn't us. My heart goes out to anyone who has spent money on the awards dinner and fair play if you get away from it without slapping at least one player.

Brighton 2-2 Saints - Match Thread

Enjoyed that. A great away day and I thought our support was decent. I'll take it for what it is, a nice comeback after a mixed first half through 2 excellent JWP strikes. We still appear chaotic in the centre of defence at times and rectifying this in the summer is a must. As is a consistent striking option if we can find one. Can't always rely on JWP to pull free kicks out of the bag for goals but they are great when they happen. -
I don't know if anyone else has spotted it but he's rather good at them?

I assume pre-match Ralph will tell us we can "expect a reaction" but "it's not so easy in the Premier League" and we need to go back to basics and become "a nasty opponent" again? And then a team who finds it hard to score goals will roll us over 3 or 4 nil? I live near Brighton so this is a 'must not lose' for the sake of my earholes but I'm not convinced we will be bothered enough to break sweat to do that. As always, though, I live in hope no matter how faint that hope may be... -

Normally give a bit of thought to what I've seen but today all I can come up with is "rubbish". Crap all round (bar Forster). Fully expecting a dire, uninspiring end to the season with half arsed performances all round. -
