😂...... div 3 AGAIN

Am sure we will have a cheap option new manager in place next season after we lose 8 of the first 9 matches next year then valiantly stay up on the final day... that’s how it usually goes, we are spoilt aren’t we? We just have no fight, no spirit, spuds were there for the taking, how many times have we said that?? Half the players aren’t good enough and Ralph seems to tinker too much moving players out of position, tactically I just don’t thk he has it, it’s a shame I like Ralph but it’s not working , the club just meanders along going nowhere, you don’t here from the owners and it’s the fans who have to suffer. We should be moving forward every season but we take two steps forward then two steps back. We go nowhere!

I agree 100%
-
Not quite sure what to say... no shots, no passion, no idea, no fight, there really isn’t anything to play for each year other than the cup, so why no motivation??? No player can look himself in the mirror and say I tried my best . For me the bigger issue is from the bench there was nothing to try to inspire, no inspiration, from the players, exactly the same, I think there is something going on that the fans don’t know. The owners seem to never give anything away either, nobody seems to have a plan, an idea or any ambition... it’s us fans that get kicked in the teeth year on year. Southampton FC are such a rudderlesss ship , year on year...

I agreed with VAR when it was introduced but it’s been over complicated! Surely football means football, so why isn’t it feet that are the things that are deemed offside??? It’s so simple, if there is a gap between the attackers feet and the defenders feet when the ball is played then blow for offside! If there is no daylight or the body, head or god forbid arm are ahead of the defender then it’s a goal, can you imagine a full length diving header at the far post being ruled out if the player is horizontal yet his feet are way behind the last defender? If the feet are onside then surely the goal should stand? Only problem now is size of feet could come into play 🤦🏻♂️

To be fair it’s a nice navy and yellow combo, quite a smart shirt, glad no sash!! Think you all know my thoughts on just having 2 kits each rather than a third , yellow would tick the box on that, still the white away kit may get at least one airing next season?? The price should really reflect that but it wont!! Overall our last 5 UA kits have just not been good enough. Could be worse though , has anyone seen Poopeys home kit.... nice collar just needs a tie to go with it . 😂
-
Yey just sat down to watch one of the relegation games, now could be cherries game, villa game or Watford game....Man City v Norwich !!! What a pointless match to put on!!!!
-
If there were 30,000 there tonight it would be the same atmosphere!!! Oooh the he form!!!!
-
No hissy fit here, just putting my point of view, we seem to not want to embrace the things that make us us. Anyhow bored now, we have the new red kit with a white bit so hope all are happy.
-
That’s not the point u muppet. Barcelona one of the biggest teams in the world, kids will buy it wotever !! Am talking about our team, our Southampton! Don’t u thk red and white, don’t u think “ oh when the saints” ... maybe it’s me 🤦🏻♂️
-
Yeah and all of them looked rubbish!! They will go back eventually.
-
Having taken onboard peoples views on the new kit, some like some don’t, each to their own, from a personal point of view I am just annoyed that my club has one of the most iconic songs in “oh when the saints “ that is chanted at football, it should be played very loud over the loudspeakers at st Mary’s as the last song before kick off yet it doesn’t get played (even the fish down the road play portsmuff before kick off) and we have one of the most recognisable kit in our stripes with black shorts white socks and we manage to cock that up every year! It’s like those in charge want to get rid of our tradition. Could you imagine Newcastle playing in anything other than black and white stripes or Liverpool wearing other than all red nowadays. All clubs changed early days but once settled on a kit then that’s what makes you you!
-
1972 kit is the best!!! Just looks like saints!
-
Really looking forward to the new saints 21-22 kits .... after all it’s our 136th year so must commemorate that!! These are nice kits but we are not Peru....sorry am not a fan... will dig out the red sash kit of 10 years ago, that DID commemorate something and was nice and simple.

I have had a worse couple of days 😂
-
There’s one on eBay now for away trips £7.50..WILL GET THAT ., I SAW IT FIRST SO HANDS OFF
-
Blimey we are copying Eastleigh Fc of a few years ago!! They had blue home and red away!! Wot is it with this sash!!! Is it just me???
-
If a team wore a red top ie Man U or a blue top Ie Everton then you can see how difficult it is to keep it fresh every year, we are stripes we don’t need to be FANCY stripes ZIGZAG stripes BROKEN stripes or anything other than STRIPES. They can be tweaked here and there but how else are stripes meant to look???? We can go thinner or thicker Or a combo of both, we can go pinstripe here and there ,mainly white sleeve or red sleeve we can go loads of ways and changes every year but the fundamental thing is STRIPES!!
-
How difficult would it be to have something like these??? It does make you wonder , just shows you it really isn’t hard to have some imagination with stripes. I have said previously that we should keep to stripes or a take on the “keegan” top, not averse to sash on the away though. White away looks yummy but two reasons why I wouldn’t want it is firstly many will dig out their anniversary tops and secondly we would need a third kit, yellow and blue version ticks the box!!!
-
Reverse version in yellow and blue wd be a great away kit. Not for me as a home kit too, stripes for me!
-
A yellow third.... there’s my theory , no need for black as a second, have yellow as a second!!
-
Yep, the classic saints top. Am sure a modern version based on that wd be a winner with everyone, be nice to have it without a plain back aswell as that’s not a requirement, also be good to keep for a couple of years and tweak just a bit more after that .
-
Bit too busy for me, Take out the middle stripe on chest, make sleeves white and have a red stripe running down top of the sleeve! sorry it sounds like I am an expert I don’t mean to sound like a know all just again my opinion. Lovely though that us fans can come up with stuff that trumps what we inevitably get!! More concepts if any of you can come up with some.
-
Yeah that’s the kinda thing, pretty simple!!! If I am going to be fussy I wouldn’t have anything around the badge, doesn’t need it and no need for any black on the shirt in my opinion, whatever us fans come up with our new shirt will be something completely left field as has been allegedly leaked. Surely if a simple striped shirt at around £40 was being lined up then it would sell like hot cakes! The stadium would be filled of red and white!! Am just worried the new thing we get is chosen not long after the kit we have Now!! . On the same theme I think it should be a ruling that only two kits ie a home and away kit is needed per club. We play in red and white, away kit yellow, touch of blue as in shorts, we wouldn’t need another kit! I am old skool I guess, I hate Liverpool but when they turned up at The Dell in yellow it just looked like Liverpool, nowadays teams like them have a white second kit then need a black one to play us, same with other teams another example Man City have that classic red and black striped away kit, it looks like Man City, they look like a packet of refresher sweets these days!!
