Well done to the team tonight, there’s passing it around aimlessly and getting nowhere as we saw many times last year but what saints did throughout was work the opposition and play with confidence, that injury time game management was outstanding, if that had been say Liverpool they would be talking about it non stop !! I thought the boys gelled well, it’s a shame we may lose a couple of players in the transfer window but we just looked good and nice to say after last year. A win at Sheffield Wednesday on a week night is fantastic no matter the division. If we can go through the next few games with more wins and be undefeated it gives us a nice base to work with. Well done

Playing around at the back and going across our own 6 yard box invites pressure and leads to goals against us…. Mmmm . Why don’t we ditch that , just a thought.

So you don’t notice that from any distance over 3 feet away the kit looks half pink, just like it did back in 1987 when I was watching the team play in it. I was at the ageas bowl watching Hampshire the other evening and a chap had the saints shirt on as he was on the field taking part in a catch the ball thing , the shirt was pink from distance so that’s my point! (He caught the the ball by the way and won a prize)

It doesn’t matter where you come from really., aslong as there is some sort of link usually down to a family member or where born but our catchment area is big so welcome all, as you say better than picking a team cos they win things! I was born in Southampton, support saints, follow and go to Eastleigh fc occasionally, support Hampshire at cricket and Bath for rugby a few times a season (my closest premiership rugby team ) def doesn’t have anything to do with it being a lovely place to visit with its many pubs and eateries pre and post match by the way … honest

No but this topic is about the kit. agree more important issues, but MY opinion is thus

I see our near neighbours (but not local rivals🤦🏻‍♂️) have brought out a new striped kit for the coming season…. I thought it was impossible to design such a pattern, we can’t seem to find anyone anywhere that could do the same, maybe we can poach their person who decides this…. Maybe get us a striped kit next time?

And the very first one looks the best, I can’t fathom why we have never really based a home kit on that, it’s a classic !

As an aside, do you remember how hard it was to see the black number on the back of the kit when we played in it years ago, can’t wait to see what hash they make of that now!! Am all for a tweak every season or so but surely it has to be based on our tradition of stripes! It’s really not clever just putting pics on here of Shearer Case and Le tiss wearing it, they didn’t have a choice cos that’s what we played in for two years! The majority of our kits over 130 odd years have been stripes, we have had some really horrible kits in the last 30 years, we continue to mess around with it and come up with such dross. Ask Newcastle what kit they play in, ask anyone who wears stripes!

Great.. so a pink home kit, cheap badges on away and third..,, don’t get why we need a third …. Make the away a bright contrast colour and it should match with the home kits of the rest of the teams.

Know these are mock ups but look at the tops of the socks, there u have it, looks pink, just like the danish kit, we can’t have the danish top!

Please no throwback Danish 87 kit! We had it before and it was crap then, it’s pink to look at during a game!! A nice crisp red white stripe ….. come on 🤦🏻‍♂️

Def agree, i get you , white base with the red over, too much red otherwise. also agree the point that there are so many cameras and officials why is there a need for plain backs? We should be black numbers over stripes!

Let’s see what hash of a kit they come up with this season, plain backs are awful, stripes with a black number maybe,, now there’s a thought!!!! mock ups are ok, the bold stripes kit is nice, simple, classic, I don’t get the clamour for the old danish pink from a distance kit, it was nasty at the time and will be again , all for a bit of imagination but it really did look pink when we had it in 1987. Whatever it is we get please let’s have it loosely based on a striped design, navy shorts could be smart, really dark could be classy. No point in adopting that if we would then revert to black shorts a session later. The black on the club crest could be dark navy aswell, maybe someone could do a mock up of that?? That would look good, guess would be a lot of rebranding around the place but no point if as I say we return to black shorts a little further down the line. All a bit of fun designing kits, we do it every season then uo with a total disappointment of a kit. More things to worry about re this club , kit the least of them but it’s fun all the same.

Just watching the arsehole v chelski game… holy moly,,,, how can these players seriously act as they do, any little nudge or kick it’s like they have been shot!! Total bunch of p*****. It’s pathetic! I won’t miss that next season, championship games on tv are so much better, none of this prims Donna crap

Well that was every bit as horrendous as i expected! Normally there would be a packed house, the fans behind the team.., none of that and who can blame us! We as fans give everything every time but if the club, ie the board can’t be arsed then why should we? A flat atmosphere, no urgency, no ideas, sitting ducks once again at home! No tactics, no plan, a team of no quality. I said when we signed all these young players, who is that? Who is this? Never heard of any of them, most of them can’t even get in the team anyway!!! A manager thrown under the bus aswell! He hasn’t got it, the people in charge should have seen it! what a complete mess we are!! At least no VAR next season .. the only positive in this sorry season. Cricket for me soon thank goodness and then mayb split my time between the Silverlake Stadium and the odd championship match. Sort this club out someone!

This has been on the cards for ages, it’s been a slow death , no leader from the top of the club, no leaders on the pitch, it’s the fans who always go through the wringer , nobody else seems to give a toss. With this mob we are going to struggle in the championship, no tippy tappy backwards crap in that league,,, actually quite looking forward to more direct football, crosses coming in for strikers to knock in. A few wins even.
