  2. The only problem with Upton Park is the stand to the left of the away end is a bit tinpot, but other than that it's also a top ground.
  3. The Batu Caves. Worth chucking the driver a few quid to skip the obligatory stop at a gem/fabric shop on the way back.
  4. Goodison and WHL are by far the best grounds in this league.
  5. The one thing that separates our ground from all the other new ones is the location. Imagine having to do what Reading and Brighton fans have to do every game. B*llocks to queuing for buses and taxis, so glad we're just a 10min stroll from the city centre.
  6. KL is a great city and has much more of a buzz than the dull Singapore. You're staying in a decent area for bars and clubs but the nearby Golden Triangle area is the place to be, though if that's your sole reason for visiting KL you should've looked further North to Bangkok where the nightlife is up there with the best in the world. Despite the fact it's a Muslim country, booze is widely available, though it's not as cheap as surrounding countries - it's still very cheap by our standards. I know you said you're not bothered about sightseeing but Chinatown (some superb street food vendors there as well), Petronas Towers and the KL Tower are all worth a look. There are also plenty of enormous shopping centres where you can quite literally get lost for hours - some seriously upmarket shopping centres as well so can stock up on cheapish genuine designer clobber if that's your thing.
  7. So does the Riverside.
  8. The Walkers was built after ours and Pride Park and the Riverside are virtually identical.
  9. The concourse in the ground. Last time very few Saints fans made it into the city centre as the police put everyone straight in the ground. We made it into town and had got half way through our beer before we were told to get in the police van and they'll drive us to the ground or we'll be arrested. If the OTT police have calmed down, then head for Wind St as that's where all the bars are.
  10. If she had ranked it at No.1 everyone would be banging on about what a great article it is and that it's great we're getting mentioned overseas. Though on a more important note, I would smash the granny out of it.
  11. Surprised they lasted this long in fairness.
  12. There were 29 arrests after the Newcastle game, there were well over 100 arrests on NYE in Newcastle city centre. Millwall there was about 20 people scrapping in the ground, I've seen bigger and worse fights at gigs with similar attendances. People need to have a bit of perspective and not get swept up in the media frenzy.
  13. I'll be happy to write a blog on how to dress and behave at the football in order not to embarrass our club.
  14. It was probably one of the kids you're so worried about, taking so long in a cubicle that led to them having to have a little livener in the open.
  15. Fans with attitudes like yours sound like you would be more suited to watching rugby and high fiving opposition supporters when they score a try, all in the name of 'banter' of course.
  16. Swansea City 3-1 Saints Saints 2-0 West Bromwich Albion Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 Saints Sunderland 1-1 Saints Saints 1-0 Stoke City
  17. I personally don't see the problem with it. Finally a bit of passion seeping back into our game.
  18. Because you have to have a certain quota of young, homegrown players in your squad. Why do you think Man City signed garbage like Rodwell and the average Sinclair? It certainly wasn't to boost their title hopes.
  19. I thought the media hate us and want nothing more than to destroy us?
  20. You said "we clearly didn't" want another left back. I just presume you'd spoken to Les and Nicola to know that. Can you please highlight the part where I say with conviction that we were unable to sign a LB? Please note I said maybe and merely posed another angle to the debate, whilst also adding that nobody knows.
  21. Given his previous outing in the Premiership, I wasn't that convinced. He did well in the Championship, there is no denying that but I thought he would struggle to make the step-up and that should've been picked up by the coaching staff and addressed pre-season, not rummaging around whatever freebies were floating around Europe a few weeks into the season.
  22. Or maybe we weren't able to identify a suitable target or other players turned us down and we just had to make do with what we had? None of us know. Please stop talking as if you were privy to our private transfer dealings, you sound daft.
  23. We may have had even more if the GK position was actually dealt with in the summer.
  24. I just find it utterly incredible that people can think about challenging for Top 4 next season whilst we're currently in a relegation battle. We really have some of the most deluded, clueless and idiotic fans around.
