The punishments they've handed out have set a very dangerous precedent. Several other clubs have already admitted they could go to the wall over this. They're not going to have any teams left in the SPL at this rate. They'll all be in the Scottish lower leagues. Then again, it's normally one rule for Rangers, one rule for everyone else...

It really is unbelievable. Similar to the Football League refusing to approve our takeover unless we agreed not to appeal their decision to deduct points. Disgraceful that an organisation like themselves is able to get away with what pretty much amounts to blackmail.

Survival. Anything more would be a bonus. I know there is still time left, but we really haven't strengthened with the (proven) quality I thought we would. I'm happy with the signings so far and think it's enough to give us a decent shot of staying up but that's about it.

Was glorious sunshine up until KO when it hammered it down. Even meant I was forced to pay €5 extra to go on the terrace with the roof. Decent little trip though, nice part of the world but also an expensive part of the world. Knew that beforehand though so can't grumble too much.

Got back from France/Switzerland about 8hrs ago. Probably about 50/60 Saints fans at the game, think the total crowd was around 850 odd. Didn't think we looked that great and Evian missed loads of sitters, they should've won comfortably. Though you can never read too much into these games. The main thing is getting the fitness up to scratch. Ward-Prowse looks a very good player though. Puncheon scored a decent goal. Met Lambert, De Ridder and Puncheon. They were sound and came and had a chat with us.

Mayweather and Manny are a different class to Khan. Khan has his weaknesses as have been shown recently. I reckon Khan would boss the fight but Hatton would know he has a good chance of knocking him out. Would be pretty decent, imo.

Wasn't a freak show, just a bit of a circus and all a bit 'WWE'. Thankfully they delivered an entertaining fight so everyone was happy at the end of the day. Doubt we'll see an all British fight in the class of Benn v Eubank for quite some time.

I did meet a couple of Brighton fans at the Euro's and they did seem to have a real problem with Saints. I just laughed at them, that wound them up even more.

They would easily sell out Wembley Stadium for that. Neither fighter would have anything to lose by taking the fight on and both would make some serious money from it.

There are ferries from Evian at 22.00 and 23.00. I've checked and there are a few taxi firms in Evian/Thonnon, so should be alright in getting to and from the game. Going to cost a few bob extra but worth it to ensure we're in a city with clubs that go to the wee hours.

Two big uni's there, so some class nightlife to be found by all accounts. Beats a couple of Cafe's which is pretty much all Evian has to offer. Just hope I read the ferry timetable properly and we can get back after the game. Ha.

I did forget to factor that in. I was going on the basis that we've probably sold out about 2 Northern games in the last 15 years. Let alone ones on TV and with a £50 price tag on the tickets.
