  1. I couldn't care less as to who we're linked with. It's who we sign that counts. I'd just like to see a couple of proven, quality additions to compliment some of the decent youngsters we have here. People keep using Swansea and Norwich as examples but come on, they were flukes and I bet both will be in the relegation mix this season. Look at Hull and Blackpool - both played exciting, attacking football and won many plaudits along the way, but look where they both are now. The only club in recent years to come up and firmly establish themselves is Stoke and what did they do? They signed experienced, proven players at this level. I'm all for signing youngsters and giving them a go but we need to get the balance right.
  2. Yeah that's exactly what you want to do. What a ridiculous thing to say. At work I try and annoy the people I'm doing business with as much as possible, it works wonders...
  3. I weren't aware we were a charity, of course we're going to go in low. Though there is a fine line to tread as you don't want to p*ss people off. I remember the Peterborough chairman saying they refused to listen to any offers we made for MacKail-Smith after our original offer was so derogatory they deemed it as wasting their time.
  4. No you haven't. Any Premiership club can make tentative enquiries for most half decent players around the world. I'll only admire our ambition when we start signing some of these players. Right now, signing players from the NPC team of the year is leaving me feel slightly underwhelmed.
  5. I just wish I was 20 years older so I could log on and tell them all about how good it was back in my day.
  6. Yep, a mini bus load went over to Evian. 35hr roundtrip and most on that bus hardly miss a game home or away. Times change, you put a mallet round someone's canister at a football ground these days, you'll be looking at a 10yr stretch.
  7. Makes us sound like a load of mincers.
  8. Only the odd line? You won't fit in then.
  9. Exactly. The flag belongs to a mate of mine. I'm not massively keen on it but I have no problems with others using it.
  10. You must've missed the memo.
  11. City don't have categories. They just make the prices up as they go along. City ST holder I know say's this is so pricey as it's their first game as Champions so demand will be high. If this game was in November, we would've been one of the cheapest games of the season. On another note, he paid £500 for his season ticket which is right next to the away fans, we're paying £50 for virtually the same seat!
  12. Some decent improvements there. Now we've nearly caught up with the rest of the Premiership teams.
  13. He loves it. That's probably why he's so glum, there's not enough of that down here. Bet he would've cracked a smile with a rendition of 'The Sash My Father Wore'.
  14. I saw Steve Davis in Evian. I said hello to him, he said hello back though he seemed quite glum. Not the kind of attitude we want around the squad. I wouldn't start him until he cheers up a bit.
  15. Has anyone got a copy of the imaginary waiting list we had at The Dell? Wouldn't mind knowing how many imaginary names were on an imaginary list back then. Could compare it to see how many imaginary fans we have wanting to come these days.
  16. Hanging around kebab shops circa 4am is your best bet for pulling fatties these days. Their fit friends have already been taken home by someone and they're strolling along, on their own, drunk, upset and vulnerable. Easy pickings...
  17. Is there a waiting list for season tickets? Surely there must be thousands on the waiting list?
  18. Bring back the Saintettes. I miss our fat cheerleaders who couldn't dance.
  19. Does this mean we don't need a 55,000 seater stadium?
  20. Is this really worthy of it's own thread? I doubt many Man City fans come on here looking for ticket sale dates.
  21. How many season tickets have Everton sold?
  22. I like to think of Wiltshire as a Saints stronghold already. Therefore not as many new fans desperate to see Premier League football despite never having an interest before would be willing to come and watch us.
  23. Wasn't good enough for us in the NPC, certainly not good enough for the Premiership. Imagine he'll go on loan to a rubbish NPC team or a decent L1 side.
  24. They need to use last seasons away games attended in order to allocate tickets for Arsenal. Though if they don't it should hopefully boost our sales for Man City away.
