Phew, started to panic then...

We have the backing of a family worth Billions. They had the backing of a small time arms dealer and some no-mark Hong Kong business man.

I'm going on the basis that 3 of the biggest clubs in Europe were chasing him, he's commanding a big fee, he has 9 caps for the 2nd best internatioal side in the world (according to FIFA rankings) and he looks decent on YouTube...

Has your mate only just seen the Echo article?

You mean it's not the CL winner Ramires we're signing? CORTESE OUT!
-
Has Ramires signed yet? I'm too excited to do any work at the moment and it's starting to pile up on my desk...
-
I don't hero worship him either, I just weigh up the pros and cons. The pros outweigh the cons... heavily.

Not all European, Asian, Oceanic and N. American players adapt to English football...

You're not for real are you? Some people...

What would be an acceptable score on Monday
This Charming Man replied to Miltonroader07's topic in The Saints
Just give me the tenner instead mate. They conceded 12 goals at home last season, dropped 2 points at home last season and scored a sh*tload of goals in the process. It's damage limitation on Sunday. -

I fancy Everton and Man Utd to play out a 2-2 draw. -
I reckon this is the first time ever one of our transfers has given me a boner.

Good. Tough, physical players is what's needed in this country. He should fit in just fine over here.

What a ridiculous post. If I was to have posted something stereotyping black people like you've just done with Uruguayans, I'd currently be serving a ban.

Oh my. I'm embarrassed for them. -
Stay on topic or you'll get banned.

Strange that Ecuador are doing this. Imagine they receive loads of 'aid' from the Yanks, surely they would've applied a bit of pressure on them? What? This is the Muppet Lounge? Sorry, Bearsy, I'll rephrase my post... Just make them give us Assange or we'll vaporise the Galapagos Islands. Or maybe it's one big ploy by the CIA. Let Assange think he's safe in his new life in Ecuador, only to be involved in a nasty car accident/helicopter with Navy Seals and CIA operatives on board, on a remote Jungle road...

Prem Season - Man City first up!!
This Charming Man replied to Tony F's topic in Saints Away Supporters
I highly recommend the Northern Quarter for a good booze. Loads of decent pubs in that part of Manchester. -
We've still got to actually sign them and I can't see Ramirez happening. We're being used to hurry up Spurs, we'll only sign Phillips and you'll be wholly justified in retaining your Dell sized mentality.
-
Why aren't people discussing how well Ipswich, Hull and Reading all did in their first season's up in the Prem then? That's because all were relegated the following season. Blackpool lit up the Premiership with their no fear, attacking football - they were relegated. Why wait two years to get it right and take a gamble on assembling a mediocre squad in our first season? If we're so serious about Europe as NA and NC like to tell us we are, why aren't we signing players who are going to get us there? Why waste time and money on players we're going to discard in a year or two time?

But what about Norwich and Swansea? You haven't thought this through. You're not allowed to mention any other clubs that have failed, just keep focused on Norwich and Swansea. They're two shining examples of Premier League experience, two Premier League stalwarts, two Premier League veterans that every other newly promoted club should aspire to replicate.
