Club first, country second seems to be a Southern thing. The vast majority of people I've met on my travels with England who are country before club are normally Northern and normally follow some tinpot club like Grimsby.

If it was 1st v 2nd after Christmas I could see it having a big appeal. Doubt it will get the masses excited at the end of August. We very rarely venture north of London in decent numbers.

They've singed a couple of players. I think they pulled out of signing Miller because he didn't want a backlash from the fans. That wouldn't be good for the chairmans current charm offensive. Will be interesting to see what they do money wise if they fail to qualify for the CL - which is looking likely.

Ipswich are charging daft prices. Some tickets at their place are £50 for home fans! Mental. The only game this season anyone will struggle for tickets with will be the Skates. Any other game, if you want one and get in there quick enough, you will get one. I'll be surprised if we sell out more than 4 away's this season.

Just checked and my train goes via Leicester/Derby/Chesterfield, therefore should be able to sink a few Bows on the way up.
