Nigel Adkins......best manager we've had since Ted Bates?
This Charming Man replied to Kaiser Soze's topic in The Saints
Ferguson is the better manager, that's why he's been entrusted with a squad of superstars. -
Not too sure but I tell you one thing, I shall not rest until I find out!

Strachan is still the best in my lifetime as he was doing the business at a higher level. Let's hope Adkins can over take him though... -
On another note, a WHU fan on the England forum said that the atmosphere was one of the best he's experienced in years from our lot and he goes everywhere with WHU and England.
-
Yes it is. One of the best atmospheres I've experienced at SMS was the 4-3 Norwich game and there was a lot more riding on that than last night. Same goes for the FA Cup Final, Skate games, etc... The more riding on the game, the better the atmosphere. As Sour Mash said, Barnsley and the likes at home won't generate a better atmosphere than Tuesday night which is what you're alluding too.

That would've been around 300 odd fans then, going by their support.

Great match report in the Guardian
This Charming Man replied to Thorpe-le-Saint's topic in The Saints
I was bored enough on my lunch to have a browse on their forum and it would seem a good deal of them aren't that happy with Big Sam's style. Though I imagine they were all over the moon at the weekend when they humped Blackpool. They will still be there or thereabouts come the end of the season. -

I didn't realise The Sun did sarcasm. -
I'm still not sold on Fox. He tries to many cross-field passes (that normally end up in touch) when there is an easy pass on. His corners though are brilliant. Can't remember the last time we had a decent corner-taker...?
-
Let's not start getting silly. Whilst he had a brilliant game, he's not in the same league as AL. Chaplow in recent weeks has been a very effective sub, coming on with 20mins or so to go and making some driving runs through the middle and pulling opposition defenders out of position, creating room for others. I fully expect him to revert back to that role when AL is fit again.
-
He was brilliant last night. Never stopped running and working. Did his best to try and drive us forward despite the entire side lacking pace and managed to get a few trademark crunching tackles in. It is a tie between him and Hooiveld for my MOTM.

Good article. -
There isn't an away season ticket holder scheme this season, is there?
-
WHU sold their allocation weeks ago.
-
I hope they enjoy the view of my back.
-
There must be more available as Coventry get atrocious crowds. I don't believe they even have any fans in the stand that houses the away fans, so in theory we should be able to have the whole stand if we wanted.
-
I'd expect around 3,000. It's closer than Leicester and Derby as well... just.

Here's a catergory for you 'Teams you've only seen away'

Mansfield and I think Peterborough. I really can't remember if I was at that game or not last season. -
Harvey Price.

Just bin it off. It's only a tenner or so. Well worth it to get steaming beforehand.

Have you been to one team's old/new grounds?
This Charming Man replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
Agreed, in order for it to be classed as an old ground, it now needs to be a block or flats, or totally derelict with grass growing on the terraces. -
There is no way they'll do a +1 for season ticket holders. It will be 1 per Season Ticket holder, then imagine 1 per customer number should it make general sale.

Last minute winner, 30 odd well dressed lads mobbing the players on the pitch, a few Saints running on the pitch from the home end, going mad... Dreamland.
