Exactly this. Their support is truly massive, worldwide fan clubs and the like. I think the SPL get's something like £16m a year for it's TV rights, Prem clubs get more than that each. Given the money our Prem sides receive, they would be up there with the best on the pitch as well.

I'd say it's more to do with Rangers and Celtic slowly getting worse. There's no money to be had in Scottish football and it's proving harder and harder for the Old Firm to entice decent players there, hence why the rest of the league are very slowly catching up.

Celtic are a horrible football club with vile fans. I would find it highly, highly amusing if we were to sign Hooper. Plus he is a natural goal scorer and would be an ideal partner for Lambert.
