Sorry but that's rubbish. It's clear over the last couple of months we've struggled with no Chaplow and an out of form Lallana. We were atrocious at Doncaster without Lambert and we failed to even have a shot on target. At Brighton we went to pieces without a proper striker once Lambert was sent off. Any games we get out of Connolly is a bonus but we can't rely on him being fully fit the whole season and Guly whilst he has scored more goals than I thought he would, he still can't be our main striker and 'lead the line'. He scored at Forest but all round he was pretty poor, didn't hold the ball up, didn't run at the defence and gave the ball away quite a bit. I can't stress enough how important a PROVEN goalscorer is if we're serious about automatic promotion. NA can see that, hence why we've been after every half decent striker in this league and beyond.

He's scored against Rangers and he's scored in Europe for them.
-
Imagine their board will be happy either way on this one. If he stays, he stays, if they receive a nice transfer fee, then so be it. If they want the money to finance other deals, then the responsibility is on them to get a move on...
-
No we can't. A bad injury to Lambert and we're screwed. A proven goalscorer is an absolute must in this transfer window.

It says at the bottom of the article they will be, unless they just mean they will if they make general sale (which they won't). They normally do say tickets won't be available online during restricted sale, which they haven't. I'll send you a message on Facebook in regard to the modern world... oh.
-
I imagine they mean the improved fee would tempt Celtic to sell and the big salary would tempt Hooper to sign.
-
That time is running out to sell a player they don't want to sell? I imagine they're quite relieved to hear the Rhodes rumour.
-
You make it sound as if they've just given us our pocket money for the month.
-
What hurdles? You can buy over the phone or online, welcome to the modern world...
-
You enjoy sharing the odd email with the ticket office, feel free to ask...
-
Didn't realise they had barcode scanners there. Kids ticket it is then.
-
No mention of the allocation though. Them and Leeds were always going to be pricey for tickets.

Ticket details announced; http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2580927,00.html

No mention of the allocation though.

Imagine they'll go even quicker than the Brighton tickets.
-
I imagine as Millwall have already announced ticket prices (we have to agree to them as well) we spoke to both Millwall and Dagenham and ticket arrangements were already in place for either before last nights game. Hopefully they'll be on sale in the next day or two.

Am I right in thinking Jos had dinner with some Celtic players last night? Swear I heard someone mention it...?
-
This. Or maybe NC has just finished our VAT return and he's realised we've got loadsa facking money and it's time to start throwing it around... Also, 'K. Billy' is that really you King Billy? You're brave showing your face on this Celtic love-in thread.

"What dammit! Southampton! Is that my level?"

Whilst he's massively over-rated, let's no kid ourselves, he would've been a massive, massive signing for us. I'm sure there are plenty of players of his calibre that we've missed out on over the years (Drogba and Anelka off the top of my head), same goes for every club in the Premiership or was in the Premiership. -
As long as the papers are claiming we're ambitious, that's good enough for me...

I've thought it very strange how this Hooper deal has been so public, I know Lennon has been shouting from the rooftops about it but Adkins has also made a few comments on it. It's not how we normally do things. We'll probably end up with some Chelsea youngster on loan, who isn't very good and everyone will be left rather disappointed.
-
With the Rhodes rumours gathering a bit of pace (see the other thread) maybe we are...
-
Hooper or Rhodes, I'd be more than happy with. Let's hope we actually get a deal done for a striker this window though after our failings in the summer.
-
Not so sure, we took 1600 odd to Coventry in the 3rd Round and 2,500 midweek to Palace for a League Cup game. Cheap tickets and cheap train fares, there's no reason we couldn't sell the lower tier as well. Then again, we have a fair amount of minstrels that follow us, so they'll probably decide to stay at home as it's 'safer'. Despite Millwall being one of the safer away days these days.

Wonder if we will get the lower tier? Hope so...
