In my opinion Claridge is one of the best pundits on the tele. Certainly better than that dreary pair on Match of the Day.

As I understand it (it's what I was once told at a gig), the removal of bottle tops has nothing to do with them being thrown. It is to do with empty bottles on the floor, especially on steps. If a bottle is trodden on that has a top on it is more of a hazard as it won't crush and your foot would roll causing you to lose balance and fall. I guess someone must have had an accident somewhere and sued the venue, now they all do it for fear of litigation.

IF (and that's a big if) we do sign Hooper I have slightly mixed emotions. How many times in the past have we had our star players taken from under our noses? Now the boots on the other foot I can't help but think how we used to feel when the roles were reversed.

This is becoming very interesting indeed. It seems to me as if Hooper's decision is between being a big fish in a little pond (which it sounds like he enjoys) or a little fish in a big pond (champ/prem) with the potential of course to become a big fish. Of course the money (if what is being banded about is correct) will also be a big factor. Let's see how this develops, I hope it does come off as like many on here I'm looking forward to seeing Dalek explode as he has promised.

I nominate any of the Harry Potter films, terrible acting and terrible plots but then they are kids films. My missus made me watch them all but she still refuses to watch Pulp Fiction which I regard as one of the greatest films ever made. I would also like to put forward Short Circuit 2. We had a childhood film nostalgia trip a while back and we watched both the Short Circuit films. The second one is utter gash and simply a way for them try and squeeze the last bit of income out of the franchise.

My missus, being a psychologist, loves all the stuff that Adkins does in terms of motivation (four positives for every negative and all that). The other day she text me to try and cheer me up (I was having one of those days at work) and said "what would Nigel Pardrew do?". It did cheer me up but not for the reasons she thought.

This is very tragic news, what a waste. His house is just round the corner from me and my missus used to work in his kids school, she's met him a few times and said he was very down to earth. Condolences to all his close family and friends.
