Surely IF we win the Championship this year (not counting any chickens yet) then we'll have the 2nd highest possible positive league finishing position difference between consecutive seasons. This could only be better if we had come up from League One via the playoffs.

Wirral Saint, sounds like we're doing the same. There's 6 of us so taking two cars, would make sense to share a lift. What hotel have you found, we're trying to get something close to the ground...

After the Leeds result on the first day of the season. I was contemplating it before the game and it would have been 18-1, wish I'd had a bit more foresight/courage!

As suggested by a few on here, always use more eggs than normal, I usually double what the recipe says. Prepare your batter well in advance and keep refrigerated until about 30mins before you need it. Put a very small dash of oil in your pan (enough to cover the whole base of each cup) and wack that in the oven. When that's steaming pour in your batter but not too deep (they'll be very puddingy if you do). The most important thing, don't open the oven door again until you take them out, this will cause them to deflate. I've never made a bad yorkshire by doing the above. Good luck!

I got 16-1 on Saints being champions back in August.

Was it him who did that lovely lofted pass to I think Lallana in the box earlier in the season, who then slotted past the keeper. One of the best goals I've seen in recent years, great vision.

31, Live in Chester. Grew up near Brighton until I was 10, came from a non footballing family so only had a passing interest in Brighton (shamefully now, they've always been my 2nd team ironically). Moved oop North and was told on the playground that I had to support either Man Utd or Liverpool. Thought fook that and picked Saints as I was vaguely from there and was massive MLT fan. Was purely an armchair fan for a few years with the occasional away game (first was Bolton away in about 98/99 I think) but then moved into a flat and found out my neighbour was also a Saint. We go to as many away games up this neck of the woods and try to get to the odd home game. So I'm not an Uber-fan by some people's logic on here but I still bleed read & white!

I don't watch many England friendlies but this atmosphere is shocking! I really don't understand why everyone rates Gerrard so much either, he always wants to make the killer pass but just ends up hitting it long, can he keep it on the deck??
