Surprising! I didn't think it was that recent

10 game ban reduced to 8 on appeal, 2500 euros fine reduced to 250 euros in appeal, disgraceful! How can anyone have the cheek to appeal a punishment for that?
-
I went to the The New Den for the replay, when Millwall scored the whole team ran away celebrating with the scorer, apart from Claridge who stayed infront of our fans goading us. After Matty Oakley's extra time winner I just remember the whole stand singing "Claridge, Claridge, what's the score?"

Does anyone know the last time we won more than 2 games in a row?
-
Maybe if you add manual chokes to that too
-
Forgive me, I hadn't seen that. Large font and smiley were slightly harsh though.

I know fans of Coventry and Celtic may not be too kind if they speak of Strachan, but no Strachan bashing I've ever heard ran him down so much as a person as the opinions of Pardew do. This alone does worry me a little, that so many people consider him to be an absolute **** with his head either up his own arse or if not there, buried in the sand. Here's hoping he's learnt from the past and goes on to be a favourite here. 3 points on Saturday would go down a treat!

I've heard we've sold around 2,200

So, who wants the Scots to go through

9/11 - 102 Minutes which changed America

Exactly, just a thought I had whilst watching that show, I can think of no answer. Hopefully the more stringent airport security will prevent such a hijack from taking place again, but then again terrorists seem to become smarter as the security forces do. -

Here's a conundrum. Say for example there's a hijacked plane that has entered London airspace and is headed for Canary Wharf or the Houses of Parliament etc. I presume there are some sort of fighter jets that would be scrambled up to intercept it, but do they shoot it down over the hugely populated city, or do they let it continue on it's path? -
If that's from the original allocation of 900-odd plus the extra 2,000 they were going to open up, it should be a goodun!
-
Anyone know how they're going? I bought mine today, hoping they open up the extra allocation, could see it being similar to Reading away last season (big away following, confident home side who haven't lost infront of their own fans), for some reason I've got a good feeling about it. Bring on the "chaos"

Michael Mifsud ....unattached player
oxfordshire_saint replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
Maybe he'll drop his expectations. Apparently teams like Newcastle were interested but he was demanding big bucks without having the reputation to justify it (not that it's stopped Newcastle in the past, maybe they're learning?) -
I'm not happy with Markus Liebherr at all. He needs to show real commitment by turning up for matches in a replica kit and Saints baseball cap. Perhaps grow a sleazy looking little goatee too. Also, if he's really serious, he could become a doctor. I believe these are all the requirements to be a complete and utter joke, I mean competent and serious, chairman.
-
He is worth that, but he was purchased from Wealdstone for absolute peanuts. I think the original post was based on the amount they were brough to the club for, as Thomas is no longer a £1m player!
-
Fully deserved, he's been our most consistent performer. I hope he pops up with a goal when we go to Elland Road in December, because Leeds fans are always quick to criticise him from his spell up there.
-
He's a young lad with a lot of weight on his shoulders at the moment, it's not his fault that he was 1 of only 2 recognised strikers available yesterday! In an ideal world he'd be at a League 2 or a Blue Square side on loan learning his trade. If I could suggest some things for him to work on though, get in the gym and get some upper body strength (although he'll probably get that naturally in the next couple of years) and also, work on striking the ball a little more cleanly.

Real examples of managers turning it round

Maybe there's a curse at St Mary's. I remember Barry Fry had that problem at Birmingham and to lift it he p!ssed in all four corners of the pitch! -
I'm not claiming him to be a messiah, just not happy that people are writing him off before he's even played a game. I'm sure there's plenty of players who couldn't cut it in Serie A that could probably cut it for us! Robbie Keane couldn't cut it in Serie A!

Africans are the same as any other foreigners that come here, some are hits, some are best forgotten. Are you telling me Drogba isn't suited to the Premier League? Obviously for every Drogba there is a Djemba Djemba. But like I said, it's the same for all foreigners, look at Italians, for every Zola there's a Silenzi, or Dutch, for every Van Nistelrooy there's a Boogers, or French, for every Cantona there's a Guivarch, etc etc.
-
Unfair comment I think. The lad isn't a lightweight like Griffit or Sarmiento, he's 6 foot 1 and looks like he can handle himself physically, plus he'll be used to getting kicked all over the place, defenders in Italy are nasty b*stards. He's probably overjoyed that he'll be playing in our nice shiny stadium rather than the decaying concrete ovals of Italy and as I mentioned on a previous thread, he spent a few seasons at Verona and it's f'in cold there in the winter.
-
Signed for Hungarian side Debrecen today http://footballpress.net/?action=read&idsel=43393 Although he didn't have the best of times here, I'd have thought he would've gone somewhere a little better than the Hungarian league. Still, we get to see him being ran ragged at Anfield in the Champions League!
-
leave him as one of the two left back on the halfway line and send Harding up to take the corners on the right or James to take the ones on the left. Whoever isn't taking one stays back with Lallana, everyone else forward.
-
It's been mentioned before, but we really need to start making use of our corners. Today we had 8, against Stockport we had 8, against Brentford we had 8.......but no goals from them. Now that we can throw a load of 6 footers into the box, we need to do better. Lallana's puny lofted efforts were too easy for their keeper a lot of the time today, we really need someone to whip them in. Also, why isn't a left footer taking the corners on the right side? I'm sure Harding could deliver a decent ball.
