  1. She's the woman who brokered the Man City takeover and is, apparently, still working on the DIC bid for Liverpool. HTH
  2. Just got this link from my Football Supporters' Federation email newsletter. http://www.fsf.org.uk/AgainstModernfootball.php I've always liked the Football Philosophy T-shirts - I might just get this one.
  3. Is it just me, or does she have 'man's' hands? And is she cross-eyed from all the wheelin' and dealin' she does? *****iness aside, she's obviously a very clever lady
  4. Driving home from work, I was listening to Radio 5. The man who proposed the setting up of the Premiership was being asked for his views on the state of football and whether he felt guilty for the way things are now. He said that, whilst his ideas for the set-up of the Premiership were accepted and implemented, he was shown the door when he warned of the likely 'immorality' once the effects of big money and Sky were realised.
  5. =D> this is supposed to be a clappy smiley thingy
  6. As opposed to classy ones?
  7. Excellent website - most informative
  8. So who will be appointed to take over? Shearer? Is that why Shearer's no longer linked to the Fulthorpe takeover? Am I a conspiracy theorist?
  9. I think there's a difference in the two scenarios. Oakdene probably have Outline Planning Permission (hard to believe they would have bought the site without) and are probably 'months away' from submitting a Detailed Planning Application because DPPs do take a long time to work up. If there's to be some sort of 'planning' for SMS (by that, I presume we mean development of the surrounding area) an OPP application could be put in quite quickly.
  10. Is pronounced correctly, I think? As in Dibden Purleeooo
  11. Have we heard from Morph whilst Trousers and I have been on holiday?
  12. Yep - absolutely right

  18. So, no penalty for Massa then? Quelle surprise
  19. We had our cat put down at the vets' surgery. She had lymphoma and was quite old. I have to say I've never cried as much as I did when she drifted off. She was looking at me with those beautiful green eyes and I was able to stroke her until she died. Mr TF couldn't cope with seeing it and had to go outside. I think I cried for about two days. We've still got her son and he's healthy but very old now. I don't think I can witness another euthanasia when it's time for him to go.
  20. I went to Grammar School and left at 18. Maybe spelling lessons took place in those extra two years?
