  6. No, of course it can't However, I've heard it can get subsumed by the body.
  7. I take your last point absolutely Nick. But I do know that EH is seriously under-resourced. It's not just mucky restaurants they have to look at.
  8. Errrr - I think you'll find it's 'oh they're tired'. HTH
  9. Is it a telescope?
  10. Did you know that a woman can lactate years after she's had a baby? Just thought I'd share that information with you
  11. Trouble is, environmental health is provided by local councils and the departments tend to be under-resourced. People don't want to pay more in council tax to fund it. I've watched most of this series and I'm far more reluctant to eat out these days
  12. And the Charlie Brown bloke is dead also http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7597700.stm
  13. Solicitors wouldn't 'trust' them, would they. Think about it - it is supposed to simplify and speed up the process. That's the last thing solicitors want What is even worse is the number of 'training' companies offering to train people to do HIPs for an exhorbitant sum and 'guaranteeing' work. Er, hello! There's no work out there ATM - there's a housing slow-down. Shylocks, the lot of them.
  14. I think the principle's right - the execution has just been wrong. In the past, I've put in an offer for a property, paid some legal fees, only to find that the searches and surveys threw up stuff to put me off buying. So I'd wasted money that I couldn't recover but then had to fork out again when I looked at an alternative property. Particularly pertinent for first-time buyers IMO.
  15. What about Carmina Burana by Carl Orff? Very stirring
  16. Wouldn't that be great? I would lol big time
  17. Absolutely right, my pet. However, did you notice that the missing punctuation marks were replaced with ? Did you? Did you? You see, these darned smileys don't work so well on this forum and I'm always distressed at the thought of spoiling my smileys with a ? or a . or a ,. Do you get my drift, angel?
  18. I was (Well, you would expect me to, wouldn't you?) but you beat me to it, Ponts. Oh, BTW, I scored 20 - naturellement
  19. Yet another great article in the Guardian: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2008/sep/03/manchestercity.mergersandacquisitions Says it all, really
