It all comes down to duty of care, surely and if the equipment was not fit for purpose then there has been a failure of duty of care.

I don't think they did in their previous incarnation but, I think I'm right, they have up to 15 months to file as a 'new' entity.

Which is counter intuitive to your previous assertion that (socialist) Tony Robinson is a multi-millionaire. Guess that makes you right VFTT - they're too thick to understand. Can't even justify their own arguments lol
-
You old right-wingers always peddle the same old same old, don't you. Failure to understand that socialists are all in favour of everyone having the opportunity to become multi-millionaires. But they recognise the building blocks of good health, housing and education need to be in place to give everyone the opportunity to reach their potential rather than having it handed to them on a plate.

Very slightly off topic, but this article in the Guardian is quite interesting http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/jun/14/spies-influence-john-le-carre

And doesn't it worry you that in the future we might have some nasty extreme government (such as UKIP ) who might well 'adapt' legislation to track people who might hold different, but benign. views? 1984 in all but name?

And you think 'they' haven't got the ability to tap into this - especially given your employer. Way back in the 1970s, when my then husband was a full-time trade union official, both our home phone and his office phones were tapped. If they did that (unofficially) back then, just imagine what goes on now.

I'm not a fan of Russell Brand but this is probably the most intelligent article I've read on the whole sad Woolwich events http://www.russellbrand.tv/2013/05/woolwich/

Good to know it's working so well for us all http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-22765940

Odd - I can still see it on on the FB posting I got from 'Southampton Memories and Places' However, I couldn't watch all of it!

Aren't we lucky that there are so many countries in the world that we can emigrate to? I wouldn't ever want to leave the UK - this is where my family and my life are but I can well understand people looking to improve their lot, whether that's by moving out of the UK or moving in to it.

I think Morrisons, like most major supermarkets, stock the aisles according to the local demographic. We were surprised when we moved a couple of months ago to a town that has a population comprising many ethnic groups (but mainly Muslim and Carribean) just what a fantastic range of foods were available in the big supermarkets. The same range wasn't on offer in the same supermarkets in the predominantly white middle class town we'd moved from. Similarly, a few miles down the road in more rural Buckinghamshire, the supermarkets charge a lot more and don't have the same ranges.

Dreadful and very distressing but what a tough little boy! I hope he finds a good home once he's out of hospital. As a mother and grandmother it's beyond my comprehension that a mother could do this sort of thing but then I don't live in China where families are limited to one child (some would advocate the same here for SOME families) or there's more shame attached to illegitimate births. That clip gives her version of events - I think I'll wait for 'proof' of what happened before I lambast her.

But weren't the security services already aware of the two Michaels? In fact they were so aware of them that they tried to recruit one of them. What would further technological surveillance achieve that hadn't already been achieved?

Indeed, and rightly so. But hopefully it will stop the EDL trying to piggy back on this charity. Some photos of the EDL 'protests' showed an EDL banner cojoined with a Help the Heroes banner.

Thankfully, Help for Heroes is returning donations from the EDL http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2013/may/27/help-for-heroes-english-defence-league

Nah - he's a ballet dancer with a very good turn out (where you stand with your feet at a quarter to three)

Surely, Verbal and VFTT no British government would challenge / criticise Saudi Arabia - we've got too many trade interests there, haven't we?
