But Sacha won't be able to cash in on the sale of FP if he sells up now. I thought that was the whole point of him buying your club :smt102

Why on earth do people have to change phones every few weeks FFS? It's a phone - it rings - you call people using it. Does it stop doing all that after a week or two? Muppets

Big friends of the Bush family, I believe?

I think the random check was between after segment 1 and into 2 hence he was stuck on the intermediates. In other words, he'd finished seg. 1 and was sitting there still in intermediates because there was some talk that the rain was stopping. Just before he went to change into wets for seg. 2 the random test was ordered, leaving him no time to change afterwards. As I said earlier, 'twas a rumour I heard - I don't know if there's any truth in it.

I've just heard that the reason Lewis ran (slowly) on intermediates was because the car was called in for a random weight check, meaning he didn't have time to change tyres. I don't know if this is just rumour. If it isn't then it smells a bit doesn't it? Any views Ponty?

She probably didn't care anyway, TBF

I used to teach 7 dancersize classes a week plus rehearse / perform with my dance group. This meant I was quite thin. Then I almost destroyed my knee in a skiing accident and couldn't do any exercise for about 6 months and boy did I pile on the weight - to the point where I was a normal size. The moral of this story is - if you don't exercise in the first place, you won't put on weight when you stop!

Poshie hun - just put him on 'ignore'. I did, ages ago, but unfortunately I still see his invective to all and sundry when he's quoted. You're a nice person - he's not. HTH

I put it on top of my lipstick to make my mouth moist and shiny. But I wouldn't use yours, not after your pile-driven finger has been in it.

He can't help it StB - he has an illness

As I said earlier, I don't have a religion and haven't had since I was about 15. However, when my children were old enough to choose, I let them go to church and Sunday School if they wanted to. They all did, briefly, but then stopped. Interestingly, the one with a philosophy degree and the one with the arts degree now don't have a religion. The one with the maths degree is a Christian!

For me it would have to be all the lovely parks in the city centre. And of course Tudor House has just re-opened. That was one of my favourite places to visit when I was a child.
-
Maybe different religions should be discussed in schools in a philosophy context? That would tie in well with Phil's view that greater understanding leads to a more rounded view of life in general. I don't subscribe to a religion but I respect the right of others to do so, as long as they don't try to convert me or ram their views down my throat - in other words, as long as they respect my right not to have one. I think some religions have very interesting aspects - Buddhism for example. (Have I spelt that right?)
-
Never mind religion having no place in education, it should also have no place in government IMO. We should be a totally secular society, like France and Turkey for example. The churches have far too much say in how our country is run and they have no democratic right to do so.

The Big Bang experiment should put paid to Creationism I think.

Not really advisable when exiting Old Trafford IMO

Off at a slight tangent - I've found it's very difficult to text whilst walking down steps. HTH

TF Mansion on my own -
 I've been had Thanks DSM - I'll go back to the 'unorganic' (is there such a word?)
-
We buy quite a lot of organic stuff. The difference is really noticeable in fruit 'n veg and, strangely, milk. Oh, and eggs too. I think we'll continue to do so as long as we can afford to. Just lately I've started buying organic clothes for my new granddaughter. I can't see or feel a real difference in the quality but it salves my conscience

I think I heard on the News this morning that ESPN are looking to do more pay to view sports? I wasn't really listening so I don't know the details.

Nothing - again Mr TF on a night shift all weekend so zilch in the evenings and I've got to be quiet in the day. I will, however, watch the match on Sunday. -
Round here the tractor drivers are generally quite considerate in that they'll pull off the road if a queue has built up behind them. Mr TF says that it's a law that slow moving vehicles have to do that every so often  Refuse lorries are the bane of my life. Why oh why do they have to stop on blind bends, narrow lines without passing places etc. Why can't they just use a little bit of common sense? :smt102:

No it was where Kathleen Road joins St Monica Road (I think - blimey it's years since I've been there lol) And Phil - it HAS to be mushy peas, or even better pea fritter, every time

The biggest hold-up for me is a tractor. Or the occasional horse.
