  1. I was very excited about the extra hour on Sunday morning. But my 5 month old granddaughter is staying this weekend and she won't know about the extra hour
  2. TBF QPR are 9th and not 21st
  3. I was told the other day that soon the US will only let people in with biometric passports. But my 'informer' told me this only meant the ones with the barcode. So, as you're renewing yours, you should get a barcode one. I don't know how much information this barcode holds mind you :smt102
  4. She's done an on-line search but of course they all ask for information on accidents / incidents. If she 'lies', her insurance will be invalid. Her current insurance company's Invitation to Renew will show that she doesn't have an NCB any longer so she won't get her discount. My main beef is that this accident (which wasn't her fault) will lie on her file for 11 years! That seems grossly unfair.
  5. Is Angie Best his mum?
  6. About 6 months ago, a seven year old girl ran out from between parked cars in front of my daughter's car. My daughter couldn't avoid her and hit the little girl. The child had a serious head injury but, thankfully, has made a full recovery. The police impounded her car after the accident for investigation and she had to pay £150 to get it back. She tried to claim for that but the insurance company said her insurance didn't cover that. My daughter's car insurance is due for renewal. There has been no claim against her and she's made no claim either. Her insurance premium has gone up a lot. When she queried this, she was told that the case would lie on her file UNTIL THE CHILD WAS 18 and therefore they couldn't offer her the normal rate and that her protected no claims bonus was now invalidated. My question is this. Isn't there a Statute of Limitations on how long after an accident / incident a claim can be made? And surely her protected NCB should be just that - PROTECTED? Any insurance whizz-kids amongst you lot? Any advice gratefully received
  7. Setanta apparently
  8. Because you're flying there, right?
  9. I think some of the developmental work is being done near me, at Leafield. Am I right, Ponty?
  10. I like your current avatar. I keep hoping one day the guys will actually complete their moves
  11. Look what I've found for you! Silica gel's high surface area (around 800 m²/g) allows it to absorb water readily, making it useful as a desiccant (drying agent). Once saturated with water, the gel can be regenerated by heating to 120 °C (250 °F) for two hours. Some types of silica gel will "pop" when exposed to enough water. Be careful though - it's a fungicide and can cause skin irritation. I wouldn't want you to be irritated.
  12. Not true - she does. You just can't see it behind her big grin in MB's accurate likeness
  13. I thought was Barry Fook  Or was that Barry the Briefcase? Oh look - we've gone full circle. Ain't that clever
  14. I've just done a quick calc. on rates per population: Southampton = 0.000625% Portsmouth = 0.00125% approximately. What we always knew, eh?
  15. Dear Lord - I'm wringing my hands in despair. Are there many others who think like you? God, I hope not.
  16. Can I swap my (nearly) dead one for your two live ones, Jilly?
  17. My dad used to say 'if you don't ask you don't want; if you do ask, you don't get'
  18. They're bl00dy expensive though! I was horrified when my daughter told me it would cost £50 a day to send my granddaughter to nursery so that my daughter can go back to work. She's doing this as her partner's abandoned her and she doesn't want to be a single mother / drain on the economy My daugher earns very good money but she will still struggle to find £250 a week (£1000 a month) for this.
  19. This is funny: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2008/oct/23/wiganathletic-portsmouth about all the supposed transfers, not just DB.
  20. Complete change in writing style, Trousers. And I don't believe a laydeeee would post in that way. Mind you - HMR posted in a ladylike way (most of the time) so gender swapping is a possibility I suppose.
  21. The last I heard was that some benefits were denied UNLESS the father was named. What would you do in the case of a woman who had been raped, subsequently got pregnant but didn't believe in abortion so gave birth?
  22. Very droll By singing a songa? I think I'll go get my coat
  23. Gotta be homemade tuna and mayo. Not shop ones because they always have sweetcorn and I hate sweetcorn.
  24. I think this is the post everyone is referring to: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=2414 It's not hard to search on LS' name you know I think he does add a rider at the bottom of the first post of the thread by saying he doesn't think the takeover will happen.
