Nah - it's to invest in property so that Joe Public is increasingly priced out of the housing market.

You'd hardly expect a right-wing organisation like this to agree with Miliband, now would you?

I think we paid £14 each to watch the mighty Wycombe Wanderers last Saturday. OK not non-league but pretty dire football BTW how the mighty are fallen - Nigel Worthington managing the opposition, York City

The same Nigel Farage who was educated at Dulwich College and worked as a banker? Yep - from the real world, I can see that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigel_Farage

It would be helpful too if they paid taxes fairly

Have a look at Wiki - he's actually quite clever and, with a mother who escaped the Holocaust, probably has more right than we do to express his views on this topic. But you're right - he's not very good at the comedy malarky.

Couldn't agree more - Cameron shouldn't engage in debate with his intellectual superiors. However, I meant the debate on here.

I'm not offended in the slightest. I posted the article in order to further and balance the debate. That doesn't mean I condone or condemn it.

Debate needed on veils in some public places, says minister
bridge too far replied to holepuncture's topic in The Lounge
I suppose the answer might be to say there should be no outward expression of any faith. No crucifixes, no sikh turbans, no veils or niqabs, no yarmulkas or long curly sideburns, no nuns' or monks' habits........ -
Arlene Phillips, Joanna Lumley and Joan Collins have all had plastic surgery.

Debate needed on veils in some public places, says minister
bridge too far replied to holepuncture's topic in The Lounge
"As a mother/grandmother/great grandmother, genuinely, how would you feel in the following scenarios?: Fully veiled person walks into a capacity SMS and sits next to you. Fully veiled person walks into a busy bar you are in. Fully veiled person knocks on your front door and you are alone, and its late at night. What are your views?" Oi! Less of the great grandmother! Unless, of course, you mean I'm a grandmother who's great in which case I'll forgive you None of those scenarios would frighten me although I'm unlikely to put them to the test. I live in a town that has a large Muslim population and I don't feel threatened by this. I'd probably feel more threatened by a gang of young men (of any ethnic origin). I'll slightly amend my view though by saying that no woman should be forced to wear the veil or niqab. Just as no woman should be pressurised to wear anything she doesn't want to -

So how do people with visual impairments cope? -

I don't feel threatened by a female wearing a veil or a niqab. I'd rather see that than some of the poor taste exhibited by some young (and old) such as shorts / football shirts (barely covering beer bellies), leggings and copious tattoos. Having said that, I firmly believe everyone should be able to dress as they please (within the bounds of decency) and it must be quite liberating to not have to dress according to others' expectations. -
Slightly off tack - or is it? http://www.genesisexpo.co.uk/ From July's comments: "Wonderful to see some dinosaurs in Portsmouth. You saved the day for my two boys."
