Russell Brand rages at Rupert Murdoch and The Sun
bridge too far replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Lounge
Crikey - no-one bothers to read any more, do they. Twice I've said that I admire his eloquence. That has nothing to do with his morals or any hypocrisy. But he certainly isn't a cretin. Many moons ago I admired Enoch Powell's eloquence. But I didn't ever agree with his views although he too wasn't a cretin. It is possible to detach one from the other, I think -

But he's still very eloquent. As I said - whether you love him or hate him I wish I had such a command of the English language. -

The time I feel really guilty is when my 5 year old granddaughter occasionally catches me with my habit, frowns and shakes her finger at me and says 'Nana, don't do that please'. I never deliberately smoke in front of her but she sometimes finds me out

Yeah right - hands up those nutjobs who have applied I see factless' usual standard of grammar is still in operation - 'the club ARE entertaining ....' (well, that bit's true). It should read 'the club IS entertaining ....... (although that's a myth)

The best Official Club Statement ever?
bridge too far replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Lounge
If they do win their court action, I would respectfully suggest they use their 'winnings' to employ a part time press officer. I have never seen such a dreadful grasp of spelling, punctuation and grammar in an official statement in my life!
