  1. What a load of bollo...
  2. Nail on the head...
  3. Nail on the head...
  4. Bale and Suarez are world class players, who were never going to stay with second tier clubs like Spurs and Liverpool. Similarly, if either club has a decent season in a European competition, they will be raided by the big boys in the same way that Saints have been this close season - that's the layer cake that is modern football, sometimes it's saddening, other times it's karma...
  5. As much as I dislike West Ham, would be good to see then win today, with Spurs suffering a nice smattering of injuries and cards. Also it would be good to see Leicester and Hull get results for the early destinies of Pearson and Twitchy respectively...
  6. You sure it wasn't Jo Tessem?
  7. This, increase the pity in self-pity city, and increase the pressure on the legend in his own lunchtime that is Pochettino. If Rogers and Pochettino were to be sacked at some point this season, and SFC helped, it would be rather wonderful...
  8. The team sheet's out for Liverpool then!...
  9. The best (and funniest) case scenario would be for Pochettino to be sacked before Christmas or on the verge in the new year after an abysmal run of results, wonder if Organ would be so keen to join the Spurs Megaproject thereafter...
  10. Good summary, and shares my view of the situation. Notwithstanding the upheavals this summer, I would absolutely love Koeman's team to get off to a flyer and MS have to wait his chance to get back into the side, that would be the best ego correction!...
  11. Sums it up very nicely indeed...
  12. Lallana Lallana Lallana Lallahahahahahahahaha...
  13. Great player for us, and we were a great club for him - a perfect fit is a rare thing indeed. We saw his salad days and will forever love him, the scousers will play him out of position and forever wonder what all the fuss was about...
  14. Thanks for the memories Duncan, I was in the Milton with my old man and uncle. Had we won we would have been Champions by a single point if memory serves, the club and city was very much still in forward momentum after the cup win at that point. Bridesmaids again that year...
  15. Carry on up the Khyber...
  16. Well said. He's picked the wrong man in Ronald Koeman for a Mexican stand-off - twice the player and twice the man Organ will ever be...
  17. A right unit and a very good player, some big sides were sniffing around him a couple of years ago including Arsenal, Inter, and would you believe it, Liverpool! If big Vic is also up for it the scousers had better put St Johns Ambulance on overtime...
  18. A very happy birthday to the Teflon Don - he would love that cake!...
  19. Some good posts on this thread. Trust has got to be earned via honesty even if it is painful to hear, and given Krueger's last round of interviews it looks like this is the direction they are being forced to take - SFC fans can take it Ralph. Results are clearly key, but there has to be significant squad investment, not just to appease the fans but also to send a message to the media and wider football public. In sum, after a summer of nasty surprises, the Board should now be looking to deliver (and take credit) for a few nice ones!...
  20. Ouch! The self pity in Self Pity City knows no bounds - 'put a pony-tail on Lambert and it would feel like we had Carroll back'. Something tells me our departed 'stars' won't be given very much time to find their feet. http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/08/03/lambert-twitter-reaction/
  21. At last a credible director who can deliver the fabled Monkey Petting Zoo...
  22. Ralph Malph out, David Pleat in! This appointment would put Southampton on the map, particularly Derby Road...
  23. Pleat calls it in a sentence...
  24. Can't listen to Ralph, always puts me in mind of Emo Phillips. Wish we had John Williams or Christian Purslow, or Russ Abbot for that matter...
