Bale and Suarez are world class players, who were never going to stay with second tier clubs like Spurs and Liverpool. Similarly, if either club has a decent season in a European competition, they will be raided by the big boys in the same way that Saints have been this close season - that's the layer cake that is modern football, sometimes it's saddening, other times it's karma...

As much as I dislike West Ham, would be good to see then win today, with Spurs suffering a nice smattering of injuries and cards. Also it would be good to see Leicester and Hull get results for the early destinies of Pearson and Twitchy respectively...

The best (and funniest) case scenario would be for Pochettino to be sacked before Christmas or on the verge in the new year after an abysmal run of results, wonder if Organ would be so keen to join the Spurs Megaproject thereafter...

Thanks for the memories Duncan, I was in the Milton with my old man and uncle. Had we won we would have been Champions by a single point if memory serves, the club and city was very much still in forward momentum after the cup win at that point. Bridesmaids again that year...
