Great restraint! I did a week of diving with my nipper in early July, having not dived off Sharm before, and obviously loved it. You will know how great it is. Plug for Sinai College Diving if anyone is thinking of going there. Brilliant.
-
Are you there for the diving?

Il est le grande fromage.

Looked very strong, and with a great touch. Don't think he gets discouraged quickly either.

Any Frenchman that would use cake as an analogy for developing and maturing young players when wine and cheese are available is obviously an idiot.
-
I take it you're deliberately not counting the inevitable own goal we will get going our way next season? Bed wetter!
-
So selling your best players, (and lots of them by the way), is a good plan to ultimately ascend in the world of football? I'm not getting that bothered because it's inevitable and I will still enjoy watching Saints, but I do find it hard to read twaddle.

I've been there. Couldn't get over how ****ing rotten they are to their dogs. I can only say what I would do again which is stay somewhere near La Cinque Terre on the riviera coast, with some day trips to Rome thrown in.

What a simply great thing to do.

The irony that you are posting on a web forum at quarter past eleven on a Saturday night is hopefully not lost on you.

Of course you have a right to choice. You can also choose to check your consumer and contractual rights through the appropriate channels, and reflect on how much you enjoy going to the football, or alternatively you can ask some football fans on a message board, in the midst of an hysterical reaction to the sale of their favourite football player!

Are Liverpool buying lambert just to unsettle the ship?

I think he might be serious and don't call him Shirley. -
That's the spirit :-)

Makes sense, of course. Presumably some information is available for the credit agency's to be able to rate even a privately owned business. You would think some egg head on here would at least run figures on if we are actually losing much money over the last twelve months, and for that matter the next twelve months trading? Also, why would you asset strip it? It must be worth a ton more than they have put into it? Selling a team and getting relegated is hard work is it not, (with abuse coming in from a frustrated fan base)? The question marks imply that I am curious about these questions but too idle to provide my own answers.

There is not much to read on this board over the last year on the clubs actual financial position. Where are all the finance boffins that used to get on here and relentlessly argue about share capital? Saints web fail if you ask me!!

Booing never works. They will just turn us over and he will have made us all look like shmucks. No, we should lower his guard with a gentle round of applause. This will embarrass him slightly, as he will have a guilty conscience. Then at the crucial moment we unroll massive banners depicting Markus, Kat, Matty and Lawrie Mac all giving him the finger! Keep this secret please.

That is life, but we need the best manager we can get. At least the slate will be clean this time, rather than bringing in a bloke that is prepared to replace a manager in post that has seen us through consecutive promotions.
-
Looks bloody great doesn't he? I had already decided not to renew my season ticket until Saturday afternoon to give this Ralph bloke a bit of a fright, but if Murat stays at low odds I think I'm going to be caving in and getting the Visa out on Thursday evening. UTS.

I absolutely loved the bloke mate, but I don't think it would be right for him or us. I think he will stick to the task at Reading anyway, for as long as they let him.

This works for me. Once Cortese had left, which in itself only seemed like a matter of time after he had squared up to KL last summer, the boards relationship with Pochetino seemed like parents trying to stay in touch with their nippers girlfriend, after he had buggered off with someone else. The board need to build something for themselves now, that they have invested in. They might do a good job, they might not! Can't wait to see.
-
Be fair! Would KL really bother turning up for so many games if she is solely an asset stripper. A more sensible debate might be on whether she wants to spend lots of cash on the club, and if she and more importantly her advisors are skilled in running a football club.

I heard that the traffic police referred to the motorway hard shoulder as Montego Bay in the eighties. Never drove an Allegro as they were in decline when I passed my test in 81, but my granny lent me her Marina a few times. The steering and suspension made it genuinely feel like a boat to drive. Mechanics liked them though, as they were simple, cheap and easy to work on.

I wouldn't say crap. Just over priced. As an aside, they put the price on the individual tickets, which is a bit strange as you tend to need to hand the tickets out to the individuals so they can go through the electronic turnstile. I didn't really want the guests to know how much the box cost as it's a bit in your face really, with modern thinking on hospitality and bribery etc. I suppose the club would delete the price next time if I remember to ask!

I sold my sisters aluminium hexagonal greenhouse on eBay around 10 years ago. She had lost interest in it and it was left at our place in the back garden. Anyway a bloke from Devon won the auction. I was curious about him for some reason and started to check previous purchases on his feedback. The item before mine was something described as "used boxer shorts gay scally stained to order". He turned up sporting highlights and an L 200 with a large chrome bull bar. Prompt payment and collection though.

Lenny Henry!!! Perhaps he's good live is he? I can never remember anything funny he's said. He's always seemed like a weird PC crossover between the old style 70's comics and alternative comedy circa early 80's. Think I've seen a fair share of live comedy. Loved Harry Hill on radio 4 but live, (twice), just seems to intimidate laughter from an audience. Ditto Reggie Hunter. French and Saunders had amazing presence when I saw them. League of gentlemen was good. Loved Ben Elton. Also Jack Dee. I don't know if he comes up with it himself but Bill Bailey would be my favourite for originality. Al Murray I can take or leave. Punt and Dennis was painful. Won't be a popular opinion on here but you won't see more laughs from an audience than at a Tim Vine show.
