Not sure he does! Most assets on the book were valued post credit crunch and much worse off now. Going into admin makes the players free agents with no value and he loses that too! If admin was the better solution he would have gone there by now. A sale is by far the best bet and the buyers know it! he is trying to get them to bid each other up but they are either being very canny or in cahoots with each other! Also the longer he takes the more he and his company are paid!

The staff are assets with a value and in the same way the creditors are asking for more than the buyers are willing to pay they probably value these players at more than 500k. Also some of the deals probably are based on players remaining and as such selling them will reduce the offers. Finally why would a club buy anyone for 500k if they can get them for free in administration as all players become free agents.

Still one league up from us though! (and thats the positive scenario)

Lets be positive the only value you can put on a stadium in southampton has to be from a buyer that intends to run a football team in this city! That means a buyer is more likely to provide a better return to Barclays and the other creditors than a sale of the assets. That means we are more likelty to be bought than to be wound up! Patience is yet again called for! a thing we saints fans have had in spades over the last six years!

I say again Fry has no reason to be swayed by fans the presence of MLT or anything else! He is there to do the best deal he can for the creditors and if it means shutting up shop and selling the furniture then that is what he will do! Having MLT on board by a consortium is there to 1) Possibly attract finance from potential wealthy fans who may and I stress the word may put in money on the basis of their heart and not their head! 2) Rally the fans (and therefore increasing gates and revenue) for new owners should they ultimately succeed!

Unfortunately in the current circumstances as fans we have no say in the matter whatsoever! We can just hope that whoever buys the club has it's best interests at heart.

Mark Fry will not sell to anyone with no money to do the deal it is not in his clients interests! I suggest we try to continue to be patient and await from some real facts to emerge!

Could be that MLT helped put the consortium together! rather than they sought him! In any event using MLT to enhance your bid, whilst likely to have some successs with the fans would only get short shrift from Mark Fry whose only interest is how much can he get from any deal towards a part repayment of those owed money!

Fry will accept what is best for the creditors! That is his job even if it meant closing the club down and selling of whatever assets are left!

What if's are always interesting and in fact pointless as no one so far has manged to change history! So on the other hand how about what if we had accepted Hoddle Back rather then campaigned against him?
