The fact Yeovil at home are no longer a push over just brings home how far we have sunk in such a short time! Just a few years back, drawing Yeovil at home in the league cup would have provided the opportunity to rest our first team and even our reserves and field a team made up largely of youth team players to give them a bit of experience. They would have gone on to show what they could do brimming with the confidence of the fact they were from a top academy with a winning mentality at a premier club and the need to impress the management with the full expectation of coming away with a win. Now after 16 months of spiralling downwards as a club and forgeting what it feels like to even win, never mind win conviningly, even our first team will be full of trepidation at the start of the match. It is therefore incumbent on all of us fans to get behind them, We all must banish the recent memories of a lack of goals, the inability to hold a lead and the expectation of the opposition finally breaking us down. We must help instill a new steely confidence and winning mentality at the club again. Only then can we build on that foundation and move onwards and upwards!

Re transfer policy! Is not a fact that we are only allowed to pay players 70% of the clubs income in this league? with reduced TV money advertising merchandise sales and gates this does not give us a lot of room to manouvere especially as we still have some expensive wage earners on the books who dont even want to play! We need to get rid of some before we can bring in others, even putting aside whether they want to join a team cast adrift at the bottom of league 1! Patience is going to be essential!

Agree generally with your post however the "push for the play offs" bit is a tad optimistic at present! we started the season at 10 points off the top and after 5 games we are 22 points off the top! We need to clear our defecit quickly and start picking up points in line with the top 6 if we are even to get to mid table! I know there are 46 games in this league but we are already more than 10% into them! Avoiding relegation is I think our first main aim!

Matt stayed with us through thick and thin and could have easily chased money! He therefore deserves every penny he makes His support of Pinnacle was well meaning even if misguided and done out of a sense of loyalty and love for the club! At least he did something! Matt kept us up for years and without him we would now be an obscure club with no new ground and a fast reducing fan base! And why do you assume the Pinnacle bid jeopardised the clubs future? are you privvy to the administrators negotiating tactics? if so pray tell!
