    Agreed getting George back in any capacity with the academy would be great and send out the message we are back and serious! He produced the best crop of youngsters since the Wallace/Shearer/Le Tiss days. In the past our success was always achieved by selling on successful players and replacing them with even better younger ones such as replacing chivers with channon!

    I think we need to start with the creative players to try and unlock defences and then bring on the likes of Wotton and Thomas when fit to shore up the defence and midfield to actually hold a lead and hit them with pace on the break (Waigo?) We do need more pace in defence/on the wings and up front

    Thats just what I want continuous growth upwards along an exponential curve where y=(x squared) ! We can now see the bootom of the exponential drop behind us and we are on the upwards slope at last! I knew all that calculus at school would come in handy one day!

    Seems Gillingham have made the better start despite missing three key players now with 2 missing beforekickoff and jackman off injured and replaced!

    Yes traditionally we were always a team that scores goals whatever division we were in (leaky defence maybe but exciting to watch never the less! especially at the Dell) and this was the case throughout most of the 60's 70's 80's and even some of the 90's! It is only over the last 5 years or so we seem to have gone flat! It is that spirit we seem to have lost!
