Le Tiss offers his services to England
Saint Without a Halo replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Who took penalties when Le Tiss and Shearer were in the same side? and Why? -
Why? Do you really think we will perform worse than those already below us from here on in? motivation is all about setting tight but achievable targets! which is exactly what the playoffs are now avoiding relegation from here should be pi** easy given the standard of those already behind us!
-
Hey what the hell but aren't they fun when you are doing well!
-
I think we will outscore Huddersfield and Norwich going forward our only issue is limiting the number we let in!
-
I am more interested in can the team top 100 league goals by the end of the year? So far 35 in 20 at 1.75 a game We need need to increase that to 2.5 a game for the remaining 26 to reach the 100 This must be an achievable ratio going forward given we have been running at the required rate of 2.5 goals a game over our last ten league games in which we have scored 25 goals. Must look up the last time we scored over a 100 league goals a season!

Isn't there an amnesty if you get to somepoint in December without actually getting suspended, or is that just in the Premier?

Saint Without a Halo replied to St Landrew's topic in The Saints
Not offside today! Not even in the side! Away injured apparently! -
No need to look behind now upwards and onwards there are enough Sh*t sides in this division to make sure whatever happens now we are out of the bottom 4 we will not be back!
-

I am not classing them as derby games just reacting to Brighton claiming their recent win was a derby by looking at all clubs in the South West and around our vicinity to compare head to heads with. Happy to consider only Poopey if you like as our record against them is so good!
-
Yes 5 cup games and 5 straight wins 4 Fa and 1 League Cup

Was just using South Coast and Hampshire clubs for interest can easily add others including the Bristols Swindon, Reading and Oxford but am not sure how to get the table to work looks ok when composing until I send it and then it all bunches up!!

Whilst reading the thread on Brighton making a DVD of their recent win against us on the basis it was a local derby I thought it was worth looking up Saints local head to head record against South Coast and Hampshire clubs in the cups and league since 1920 I must admit I was a little surprised by the results as shown below with descending levels of success (3 points for a win) P, W, D, L, GF, GA, Goal Diff, Win Ratio, Points to Games, PTS Difference Sorted in descending order by points to games Yeovil 2 2 0 0 7 0 +7 100% 3.0 +6 Oxford 15 9 4 2 26 14 +12 60% 2.07 +21 Exeter 16 10 3 3 38 14 +24 63% 2.06 +21 Brighton 35 20 8 7 56 31 +25 57% 1.94 +39 Portsmouth 35 19 8 8 66 41 +25 54% 1.86 +33 Swindon 32 17 7 8 62 33 +29 53% 1.81 +27 Bristol R 23 13 2 8 38 26 +12 57% 1.78 +15 Aldershot 10 4 4 2 18 12 + 6 40% 1.60 +6 Bristol C 36 17 6 1354 43 +11 47% 1.58 +12 Torquay 12 4 6 2 23 17 + 6 33% 1.50 +6 Reading 37 14 13 10 52 45 +7 51% 1,49 +12 Bournemouth 18 7 5 6 34 27 + 7 39% 1.44 +3 Plymouth 64 21 19 24 83 94 -11 33% 1.28 -9 We have a better record against all local teams with the exception of Plymouth who lead us by 3 wins and 11 goals We have a better record in Head to Heads against all the others with only one win and 3 goals keeping us ahead of Bournemouth Whilst our best records are against Yeovil Oxford Exeter Brighton and Portsmouth where we are well ahead in wins goals and points

Yup you are right it was Norwich! Old age is getting to me and the connection between the processor and hard disk isn't what it used to be!
-
Agreed 74 we lost 2-0 to Manu at home and were relegated (with Man u and Crystal Palace) at the end of the season (1st season of 3 down and guess who was third from bottom?) Also both Gabriel and Davies had been moved on by 74 which by thre way was Mcmenemy's first season! This video is one or two years earlier

Couldn't agree more! We have already seen what it means to spend beyond our means and seem to have learnt nothing from it!
-
Where does it say we don't need money? Growing the club properly, and for the long term means balancing income and revenue! We already know what living beyond our means is like and now ML has managed to dig us out of this hole we should learn from the experience going forward! We need to build on our recent success gradually and sensibly by growing our revenue (bums on seats, prize money, commercial income, retail, adverising etc) in line with growing costs (mainly transfer fees and salaries)
