Bull**** mate a great number of the palestinians under occupation by the israelis in places like Bethelehem and Nazareth are christian. This is not a moslem Christian thing it is about occupation and one set of laws for one and a different set for the other.

"Integrity" and "Portsmouth" in the same sentance? surely a contridiction in terms! This is a bit like the old East Germany calling itself the the "German Democratic Republic" Everyone new what they really were!
-
You are right he fools no one it is full of contradictions "we have cashflow to pay them" "we need to move some on to get cashflow working capital and some funds for creditors" Everyone can see that things can only get worse so why offer top money for a player you can get for virtually nothing in a few weeks! It is catch 22 for Android the longer people wait for the prices to come down the more he has to pay them and the quicker comes the inevitable end!
-
They are of course trying to sell them season tickets poor souls!

Just seen this on the Pompey Web Site "Portsmouth FC is taking the precautionary measure of recalling the above Pompey baby rattles (retail price £7.99). Customer safety is always our priority and we have identified that there is a potential safety issue with this product. Customers who have bought this product are requested to return it to the Pompey Megastore in Rodney Road, where we will be happy to exchange it for an alternative item. Pompey would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. The recall is a precautionary measure and no other products are affected." Rattles out of the pram time methinks! Also interesting to note that this club will stoop to anything by even taking money from Babies as they are not offering any refunds to the misguided soles who actually purchased a pompey baby rattle!
-
Many prospective owners must be queuing up to pay a premium price covering a large portion of the £130m to £180m of debt the club have, just for the privelege of getting 2 games in the Europa cup with a team made up of monkeys and paid peanuts!
-
I assume the £10k is a toal cap per week and applies to all the playing staff, management, admin, groundsman, programme sellers etc. Even then the chances are you will be paid in Pompey FC bonds reedeemable at face value some time as yet unstated in the future! A bit like Nakheel the main developers here in Dubai are doing having got themselves in a similar situation as Poopey!

Every good successful team is a mixture of experience pros and good up and coming players As we have seen over the years at Saints our worst years have nearly always concided with us getting this balance wrong. We have suffered with a team of journeymen old pros looking for their next wage packet when in the premiership followed by a team of talented youngsters without the physical strength and experience to properly compete. Like almost everything in life the best teams are an optimum between the two extremes with a good balance of both! Al last we seem to have a manager backed by an owner who is looking for the ideal mix!
-
You are quite right and this clearance process is of course normal practice for most cubs and clearly shows the advantage of having a proper pre season with a manager in place who can plan sensibly for the next year. not something we have been generally used to as Saints fans for some years now and hence the novelty interest! hopefully this means we can use pre season properly to bed in any newcomers and hit the ground running rather than attempting to start a season in October
-
Hardly surprising they are either "dead wood" and/or "permenantly injured" if they have had "the heavy axe wielded on them!

lots of Vodka too! Poor Tony!

Surely Markus is allowed to be unhappy we didnt make the play offs that doesn't mean he is not satisfied with we are! We are all unhappy we didn't make the play offs including Alan Pardew and hopefully the players! However there are many reasons why we missed the play offs and it is the Echos need to jump to senataional copy selling incorrect conclusions that is wrong.

How do grass root liberals here feel

And most economists work in banks! enough said! -
Very Good article showing a single minded sense of purpose aimed at improving our club. Just what we needed! Could probably have done without the pointed digs at McMenemey and Le Tiss they are after all entitled to their own opinions as are all of us! I felt in particualr the reference to the Le Tiss link to the Pinnicale consortium was not very helpful. However, over all it is just "What the Doctor ordered"!

Now we know who is in the Playoffs, who do you want to go up?
Saint Without a Halo replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
We should fear none of them! So therefore it doesn't matter! -
Markus not happy that he couldn't get to the game
Saint Without a Halo replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
This Pardew, Cortese, Markus speculation currently rife on the forum, sure makes a change from the usual end of season rumours along the lines of 1) Who is buying/saving the club from extinction? 2) Which of our best players are we about to lose? 3) Who will be the manager? 4) Will we actually get some proper preparation and pre season before August? -
Hopes to be here next year from his side!

Daily Mail: "Pardew faces Saints axe"

To blame MLT is taking "cause and effect" to the extreme a bit like the Chaos theory behind a butterfly flattering its wings causing undue catastrophies on the other side of the world. MLT was trying to save the club he served so well and still loves, as we all were in our own way. Surely better to ask why we were where we were in the first place? -
Daily Mail: "Pardew faces Saints axe"
Saint Without a Halo replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Remember the poor start too! which was hardly Pardews fault given the squad he inherited! Agree that with the 10 points we are just in the playoffs on goal difference. This is the "glass half empty" view however the "glass half full" view shows that with the 10 points we are just 3 off leeds in the 2nd promotion place and we would have played a stronger team at Gillingham if it mattered! Also the number of points needed to make the play offs this year is unusually high which is hardly a help to anyone starting on -10 In my view Pardew has done more than enough to deserve the chance of showing what he can do next year! I for one hope he gets it! -
It is rather flattering and shows the fact they agree we are a bigger club! We should never the less give them credit that they have done very well given their financial situation and transfer restrictions and are "punching well above their weight" (just as as we are punching below ours) even to be in the same league as us. So let them enjoy the brief moment (hopefully) whilst it lasts!
-
Despite the deduction and the poor start, 70 points would have us currently sitting in a play off position in either the Championship or League 2 at present! We are rather unlucky that our minus 10 concided with 6 teams in league 1 who have accumulated more than 77 points so far. A total for a top six place that is, to all intents and purposes highly unusual

Bournemouth Singing we are going to St Mary's! Hmm they seem happy to be given a good spanking!

We have Bournemouth to stuff next season! To be fair good season by them with no money and no transfers!
