Ran the length of the pitch nothing on so cut inside the fullback and scored with a great finish -
More recently Jack Cork although first spell was a loan

That was one on average in less than every three minutes! Puel was asked pre match now he has a good Defence how is he going to score goals I think the 34 shots is the biggest by any team. In the premier this season therefore that was a good answer Was pretty sure the BBC would only select four or five and I was right
-
And the super Monday match ends in a turgid boring 0-0 BBC fssss up again!

I think Yoshida had just come back from a long tiring trip to Australia and was probably ear marked for Milan hence McQueen was the obvious choice! However McQueen did a great job could also dive for Britain at the olympics! -
9.45 AM Tuesday Emirates Dubai Dxb to Malpensa meeting son no three in Milan City Centre early evening for my ticket (he is flying from Stanstead to Linate) back late Friday to the Heat Sun Sand and Sea. I am on the same flight out as Dubai Phil so brushing up on my golf knowledge! Also staying at the same hotel as Eric of Arabia he of the lucky sash ( hope it's coming too)! ( There are a dozen or so of us Dubai Saints going, look out for our flag at the match) Also my fifteenth year watching Saints having started in the days of McGrath The great late Ron Davies Terry Paine Chivers and a very young Channon

Romeu is now an improvement on Wanyama

Thanks for that very thoughtful contribution to the debate I and many others agree Vic was immense as a defensive unit and strong as an Ox the point is he played as one of two with the other being more technical mobile and a better ball distributor Puels system is based on one key DM at the diamonds base that can cover all of ball winning ball distribution and good anticipation of where to be all together Much as I admired ViC who was undoubtedly a better physical barrier I think Romeu is better and more suite to the Puel system BTW just for your information I do not think Redmond is better than Mane on performances to date so not all current Saints are better than their replacements -
Bertrand is key with Targett out too! I am happy with Martins for Cedric until he recovers. ( not much between these two)
-
This is great Ryan is a born scorer just needs bulking up a bit
-
When you add in his vision distribution and ability to read a game so much better to his undoubted ball winning abilities Romeu is now key at the base of our new diamond formation Not sure Wanyama with his great ball winning abilities could hold this role given his greater weaknesses in vision and distribution Another diamond that took a little while to shine? Or did Koeman just not realise what he had?

Time for Guardiola to make peace with Toure?

Do you use a bank? Life is unfair just accept it and make the best of what you can and get on with it! Try to change what you can and accept the things you can't! People in Iraq and Syria and large parts of Africa and Asia think your life is unfair too!
-
Gary Player quote "the harder you work the luckier you are"! Yes inevitably a degree of luck is involved in all success however you need to be clever enough to realise and capable enough to exploit any opportunities that Come your way in life and that he has done!

Actually the best investment is most likely property and he seems to spend his money on his house and family not on drink gambling drugs etc like many others I was actually quite impressed with how down to earth and normal him and his family appeared to be given their comparative wealth and how thankful he is for his good fortune. He no doubt worked hard to get where he is (one of the top footballers in the country) and he remains a lot more down to earth than many bankers and financial consultants property developers show biz personnel and other famous sports stars. Best of luck to him I say and it couldn't happen to a nicer guy!
-
Totally agree Yoshida has been a great club servant happy to fill out of position whenever asked to and never complains he has also improved tremendously over the last two seasons very unfair comment from Billy!
-
He also won countdown for a few rounds

Excellent performance will hopefully create a lot more too with Boufal starting in Redmonds place next time out
