  1. Seemed to me that they couldn't sensationalise immigration and it's impact on a community, so they turned and sensationalised the opposition to their filming. Loads of non violent organised opposition to the programme, instead we're talking about a couple of incidents including eggs & flour and a throw away gunshot (when was the last Newtown drive by). Love Productions have form in looking and portraying things in a sensational manner, with little regard for any long term impact.
  2. Massive thanks for the offers of help on this one, I knew the Saints family wouldn't let me down. Really appreciated. Some decent people on here. We've landed a new sponsor, so hopefully some decent kit will help keep the club running for some time. many thanks Steve
  3. It is indeed a social problem and whilst actions in football will not solve this problem on their own, I do think they can play a significant part. Football clubs hold an elevated position in our society and the ethnic mix of most clubs should be used in a positive manner in helping to educate and over time eradicate racism. Have to take exception at the use of the word "silly" though, as think that is far too throwaway to describe them.
  4. Even if this specific story is just made up paper talk, I still imagine the many scouts, managers and interested bods out there would have to be blind not to have recognised Toby's outstanding season, his tenuous contractual situation and him not being averse to move away from Spain.
  5. From a few games in I was thinking this fella will be great for a year, as on this form over a season he is not going to be short of suitors (home and abroad). Of course we should be moving heaven and earth to get him to stay, but I also reckon plan B,C,D & E are already in effect looking for a replacement!!
  6. Thanks, much appreciated.
  7. Just after a simple Oak Tree with 1819 & MOTTISFONT cc below (or encircling it). I've sent you a PM if that helps.
  8. Somehow Ive been lumbered with getting a new kit for the upcoming season and the supplier (Serious Cricket) is after our Club Badge. We've had one in the past on our kit (pretty boring Oak Tree with 1819 and Mottisfont Cricket Club underneath), but no one has any idea where it came from. Now I'm no techy so haven't got a clue of the difference between a JPEG or a JPIG and was wondering if anyone could knock one up for me (happily buy em a beer or three). My best effort would be the equivalent of the AFCB ground & the Monkey Petting Zoo!!!!!!
  9. If you're that keen on giving him stick before the game, then I suggest a drink in the Harbour Lights bar might be the order of the day, as when I lived in Ocean Village the Liverpool team would regularly park up there and take a stroll around the far side of the marina. Might be a bit cold so a boo and a hiss from inside where it's nice and warm would be my limit!! PS I'll be giving him the John Bailey treatment in the ground
  10. The same megastore manager chance that it will be a home brand as well?? As someone else has said go and do your homework on mini me and you will soon realise he is about one of a handful of people who actually know what they are talking about regards kits and sponsors.
  11. As for just sitting behind a computer, I would suggest what it says on the door plate of that office would be more relevant ?
  12. When he gets the ball with his left foot, his right is planted on the ground. Not a red for me.
  13. Was going to mention a certain taxi driver doing a one man attempt to get the game abandoned!
  14. Saw John for the first time in years at the JPT semi final, sure he got 3 months in Guys Marsh for that smoke bomb! Only one regret about that cup run, thinking half Lois jeans/half cords was acceptable up at Sheffield!
  15. Mackerel up at Forest, the Navy Provost steaming in with their long sticks outside Fratton, the "Hello Pompey" giving it the bird banner up at Blackburn, the road if coaches up at Sheffield and carnage at Highbury. That was a cup run and a half for a 16 year old.
  16. I've seen these given, but my personal opinion is that they shouldn't as it isn't deliberate handball. It ball to hand, as opposed to deliberate hand to ball, but it does have to be consistent. As you say they was a ball to hand just before that that "no one" has picked up on.
  17. Sooooooooooooooooooooo fecking proud of this bunch of players, the manager and all the staff supporting them. Big shout to those making the journey to support as well. It just goes on and on and on Red Stripes being cracked open as I type. And just seen Fonte & Elia interviewed after the game. Very impressive.
  18. I'm Ming the Merciless (no one else has a clue what's going on),
  19. Always want us to win every match we play, but have to say in hindsight I might have swapped a defeat for his injury (if it is a 6 weeker). **As long as I am allowed to change my mind having slept on it and Ward Prowse, Davis, Reed & Cork perform superbly on Saturday and it's only a two week tweak!
  20. Cheers
  21. Soooooooooooo proud of this lot.Wonderful.Couldn't bring myself to watch and hoped to tune in and grab a point, so this is a superb result. What was the issue with Toby (fccuked or walking wounded?).
  22. But you do know there will be a meltdown this summer when Toby gets tapped up by United & leaves, we get involved in a stand off and spat with Arsenal & Schneiderlin, Clyne is courted by Liverpool, City & United, Bertrand stays at Chelsea and Victor is a target for Spurs. On top of all that Koeman leaves for Barcelona and Pelle says he prefers a warmer climate and wants to sign for Bournemouth.
  23. Fair enough, after all football is all about personal opinions. Agree that Yoshida has looked better in recent matches and was pleased he's signed up as think he is a decent enough replacement player for us. Just think Chambers is better (and will continue to get better). My last counter would be that when Clyne was out under Poch, then Chambers got the nod more often than Yoshida (at least that's how it remember it!!).
  24. He's not worse than our four current centre halves, worse than Toby & Fonte, better than Gardos & Maya. Currently he wouldn't make it in our first choice back four ahead of Toby, Fonte, Bertrand & Clyne, but if we went 3/5 at the back then he'd get the nod ahead of Maya.
