I was directly in line with that shirt pull and it was blatant. How you can excuse it (or miss it) beggars belief! Throw in RM decision making and we stood no chance. At half time we all said, next goal wins the game!!

Wrong set up and an inability/scared to change things. Cant wait for the post match interview. Tried to be too clever and been found out badly. Time for him to go.

When I saw the team, I was like what is he thinking!!!! Awful, just awful.

I’m offended you haven’t nominated me!!! As for the Northam, have to say it’s got potential. From the Itchen it seemed as though the original Blocks 41-43 were the same as in previous years and the rest were finding their feet. Started ok, but tailed off as the insipid performance sucked the life out of the crowd. The first half performance on the pitch was woeful and the second only marginally better. Couldn’t hear the away fans, but probably more to do with proximity.

Not good enough and that’s both manager and players. Wrong set up, once again as a result of shoe horning Stephens in. Five at the back left the midfield weakened and outnumbered as it certainly wasn’t 3 at the back with the full backs pushing on. Our only player of real quality was stifled at left back (and looked so much better when he finally switched to the right). Downes was ok but both Smallbone and Aribo looked out of their depth and it looked as they both knew it as they were too shy to show themselves when we had the ball. Upfront we had two players hugging the respective touchlines with absolutely no threat through the middle. Forest looked good, but much of that was how we let them look good. Got to go 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 (or some variation with a back four) with KWP at right back and a left footer on the other side (if the ex Burnley player isn’t fancied to start, then why did we buy him?). Midfield has to include the new lad from Chelsea to provide some steel and even then we need someone else in there. We need someone upfront, either giving Armstrong or Brereton a chance through the middle (if not, we need something else up top). We set up all wrong and were easily second best in the first half. Marginally better in the second half, but changes were left too late and by then the game was lost. If we made Forest look good, then it’s going to be a very long season!!!

With games coming thick and fast, I hope Stuart Armstrong and Downes aren’t out for too long!!! But both looked like muscle strains so I reckon we will have to rejig for a fair few weeks.

Have to agree and I’m sure AA would have been having nightmares for quite a while had we lost (or even drawn). Normally quite clinical in those situations but for a millisecond he had a brain fart yesterday.

We weren’t great first half, but have to give credit to Huddersfield who were at it from the word go. Particular mention to their number 14 (Thomas) who was everywhere and causing us real problems (didn’t he score one and make another?). The game was over for me when they out him right back!

Totally agree

As you say loads and loads of positives BUT if we want to stay second then RM will have to have a bit of a rethink. Stephens only plays if absolutely necessary (and bringing on the new lad was unnecessary, needs to time to bed in).

Fair point, but if you are going to make changes then I would have preferred a like for like.

Big fan of Martin and the recent run is impressive, but I think he got it wrong on Saturday putting Stephens on the right hand side of the defence when he came on. And think he got it wrong today. The defence have been settled and doing a decent job, so would not have messed around with it. Would have taken a point before the game and given Ipswich only drew im certainly not grumpy.

Would that have been late 70s??? As sadly we put double figures past Warsash Wasps a few times! Remember one game we went 1-0 down but won 12+ - 1

Never fails to bring a smile to my face!! which isn’t a bad thing given that there is nothing to smile about with regards the Club.
