im actually getting quite emotional at the new daniel merriweather song!! "you took something perfect and painted it red..." *embarassed smiley thing* also i do think this new 'we bleed these colours' song does need to be played as the teams walk out at the start. would maybe start to show that this club has a little bit of history behind it -
i bought a ticket in the northam half way up in block 42 at 1pm today :S

So are our debts going to be significantly reduced because of the stadium now? meaning that the debt repayments are significantly less and therefore we might actually stand more of a chance of making a profit month on month even if we're in league 1? If so, this would seem to be the end of our constant downfall since 2005 and we could start building again. What debts would we have left exactly after admin if we do or don't find a buyer?? do we own staplewood outright or is there debt on that as well? -

i think a few property developers might bid higher than £1million tbh. that's about the cost of selling 15 houses minus building costs isn't it?... and how many could they fit on SMS??? Please can some1 re-assure me that isn't going to happen also on ssn - we won't lose 10 points if a buyer is found before the end of the summer - but then again the guy did also say that SMS was built in 2005 when we got relegated :s -

appologies if mentioned already - brett ormerod has just been released by preston -
Alan Curbishly - remember what he did at Charlton? 2nd tier team into a proper family premiership club - and 1 of the most clubs respected in the country. I support Southampton because I know we will once again be a great, well respected family club. The similarities between us and Charlton are endless. Get Lowe out and find someone who is willing to spend top dollar and put trust in the most important man in any football club - the manager... ...and that's us sorted for the next 10/15 years

was a league game. couldn't post any earlier cos i can't afford the £5!! ... couldnt tell that well with gasmi cos he wasnt match fit, but looked promising and could be ideal in the whole. didnt know his teammates very well so wasnt always on the same wavelength as them, but i think that will come in time. would have liked to see him play in a few more through balls. having said that the build-up play from the edge of the box looked better coming in from the wings than it tends to do when the first team barge foreward down the middle sometimes. 2 weeks off first team IMO. jamie white's celebration was a dramatic 'lets stick my arms up in the air' thing in front of an empty stand. made me laugh any way! jeff did have a pretty good game but i still have my doubts. made a great tackle when it looked like the striker was going 1 on 1 with the goalie, but then again shouldn't have let him get goalside in the first place. i was wearing a southampton scarf but that was it so maybe he didn't see me. maybe there was 4 (shocked face thingy), but yes i was still making loads of noise! the northam would be embarassed by my efforts!

bugger. got those two the wrong way round then.

oh and forgot to say i think McNish and Mclaggon played a bit in the 2nd half as well which i couldn't see in the report (?) i may be wrong.

yups, was at the game today. a pretty good game all round. played a 4-2-3-1. every ball from forecast came out to the centre back and the passing game was a joy to watch. all the goals seemed to be built through wide positions or wide players cutting in a bit. formation totally confused them and worked really well. Was obvious the players enjoy the way they play and all seemed to get on well. Were supporting each other throughout. plymouth weren't at the races. spoke to the guy next to me who said folley has been rubbish at plymouth and was always an average reserves player! Forecast - 7 - didn't have much to do, but did pretty well with everything he did Jamie Hatch (fish!) - 7 - the ref didn't like him much but was reasonably solid Imudia - 8 - strong in the air, made a couple of good recovery tackles Davies - 7 - solid and came out of the back to pass well into midfield Mills - 6.5 - caught out of position a couple of times but did OK Smith - 8 - looked lively in second half although a bit boring in 1st - changed sides with white on the wings and think he got an assist (?) James - 7 - passed well although not always on the same wavelength as everyone alse Gobern - 8 - passed well, looked dominant in midfield White - 9 - hatrick hero, worked hard, cracking celebration when he got his 3rd! Patterson - 7 - grabbed himself a goal, chased the ball down well, a struggle to contain Gasmi - 8 - good player but didn't look match fit

I don't post much on this forum, but Killer's plea has genuinely brought a tear to my eye. A fantastic speach from Killer who finally seems to be the captain and leader we have longed for - someone who truly has his heart in the club and will do anything to ensure we are successful. People on this forum need to stop immediately seeing the bad in everything positive that comes out of this football club. Forget about this sh*te board and get over it. There's nothing we can do any more. Please tell me seriously how boycotting helps in the slightest. We've tried it on varying levels now for 3 years in which time our CLUB has gone from a giant in a small pond to a midget drowing in a puddle, meanwhile our TEAM still has the capability to shine. Come 5.20pm next saturday if we have 32,000 people waiting for them as they come out of the tunnel, you can be certain the team will play with the flair, imagination and ability we have never seen before. We need to move on. Stop trying to turn the burden around onto the players and even the board cos it's just getting boring now. There's only one thing every man and woman on this forum can effect and that is the attendance vs. Bristol City, vs. Wolves the following week and so on. Killer is right. It is time for us as well to stand up and be counted. These players have the ability to perform miracles in this league with the right support behind them. I live quite a distance away now but am going to stop making excuses. I will be in that number for the rest of the season cos that is what my club needs me to do. If you were that 19 year-old making your debut for your hometown team, how much confidence would a full stadium give you? Our players are not afraid of failure like previous ones were such as the ones that took on Derby in the 1st leg of the play-offs. This team are winners under Jan Portvliett. They will absolutely thrive in front of 32,000 supporters. Now is the time to move on - bad omens of the past such as Voldermort have disappeared from memory as far as i am concerned, the premier league only has room for one team from Hampshire and with Portsmouth in freefall, next season it can be us. With 32,000 people filling St. Mary's it will be us.
