Yeah I get that impression too. Although I think he is one that we would later wish we had kept as he will no doubt go somewhere else, get the chances he needs and go onto become a decent player.

hahaha isnt that the LLS re-write? Brilliant.
-
Dont know what has happened to Doble, he was progressing really fastr then all of a sudden seemed to hit a brick wall. Think he needs to give himself a kick up the backside and kick on again. Maybe he is someone that the club are looking to shift on so he doesnt feel wanted or something? I think he was fairly well rated as a kid so its strange that he is so far from the first team still.
-
I'd put money on him flying through it. I think GM posted a good account for what the FAPPT would probably be like a few pages back. Anyway, the longer the FL hide behind a FAPPT that doesnt work the more laughs we get on here as shadey chancer number 59703 rolls in on the back of AA's waves. Long may it continue. lol

AA Said: "He added that if the deal goes through the new owners will have funds to meet the first instalment of the Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) in April." Why would that be needed when the Parachute payments cover the CVA? Surely its a mis-type or something....
-
Hold that thought a second as although the Telegraph seems like a reliable source it looks like its got plenty of holes in it and not very well researched. Its already been pointed out on here that the Parachute payments seem well off and what is still owed to various creditors seems under too. So on the flip side its fairly likley that the wording above hasnt been looked into that well and should be taken with a pinch of salt. Cant take that bit as gospel while ripping into the rest can we.

I think it still had others. It had dropped the Credit card/Insurance/Radio Station by then. Those companys were deemed mad at the time and just some of Rupes crazy ideas. They acted as a noose rather than any help. I doubt it would thought of that by having them still going they would of helped in our case against deductions and most were happy when Wilde and co got rid of them all. I guess they wernt making the money they should of been and maybe even costing money which is why they probably got ditched. It also helped in the feel good factor as the new leaders got rid of traces of Rupes. No matter now though.
-
At the time SLH went into administration the rules stated that there would be no points deduction to a club whos parent company entered administration. Or something along those lines. That turned out well for us didnt it.

But thats the thing, the club are the ones that have got into bed with this chancers based on the advice of the likes of story teller and co. the dunce fans have gone along with it and lapped it up claiming FA cup success and major coups for signings where other clubs have not been able to compete. Look where it has left your club? And now the dunce fans expect everyone to give you an easy ride as its not the clubs fault, its all down to the chancer owners. blame them not us. The club has been used and I doubt many on here would argue otherwise. But its the clubs name that sits along side all the non payment of tax or charity non payments. its the clubs name that sits along side the incredible wages a mid ranged size club chose to pay out. and its the fans that lapped it all up happy to get away with anything they could at the expense of others. Some of the clubs fans genuinly seem embarressed at how the club has ripped off others and its those I feel sorry for. But when you and PFC come on here spouting how everything is fine and its not your fault, or how its all exagerated and come up with wild claims that somehow make your situation look bettter while ignoring what is staring everyone else in the face I want more and more for harsh action to be taken. What is the realistic way forward that you can see that will not only keep a club for you all to support while dropping the chancers that have been trying to bleed you dry for feck knows how many years? If Chainrai is the only real hanger on that is continuing to cripple your club how do you ensure he is gone? What about Gaydamak? Or AA? Can you honestly see someone on the horizon that wants things done properly and will get rid of the chancers once and for all? Or is the bidding only open to yet more chancers? If the FL actually had the balls to shut up your shop so the main men lose out completley and the comunity got behind an AFC pompey I genuinly think you would all be better off for it. The longer you all continue to follow the club that is on life support only to line the pockets of Chainrai and Gaydamak the longer it will be before you can honestly look at your club with some pride.

Thing is they probably think they are helping the club by making it sound better than it is in the hope that an investor comes in to rescue them. In fact all they are doing is helping the goons that have been fleecing them for years and years fleece them some more. Maybe if they reported more honestly with good and bad the dross that is attached to the club would crawl back under their rocks and leave the club to be rescued by someone more honest. I suppose they are that far into bed with the current lot that they feel they have to keep going and hope thatr the next owners will be better than the last.
-
When put like that it makes you realise Pompey still have some decent fans that feel like they have been shafted from on end to the other. I honestly hope you and those like you come through this with something you can be happy to support and gives you something to be proud of. I'd also welcome a true rival that the whole of Hampshire can be proud of. For years we did better than expected But had Lowe at the helm so there was always an eliment of embarresment. I hope that what we have now will build us into a true home grown club that can compete at the highest level and it would be good for Hampshire if our local rivals were on a similar path.

It reminds me of the film Clockwise

We all know the dodgy way is pompey but we were thinking more realistically for a "proper" buyer. The facts layed out for any serious investor/fan with some cash are frightening to say the least. Even taking the most positive of pompey views I still cant see how they are anywhere near a worthwhile investment while Chanrai still thinks he is intitled to around £20 million? Just taking the normal running of the club they are far from breaking even and all the extras that will be added to that mean you would have to be a mentalist to think its worth while.
-
I think corp has mentioned before that the club are in a better propersition now than they were at the last admin. the basic reason behind that is before the club was believed to be £120m plus car parks and infrastructure and so on. Now with the CVA in places it's a knock down price of the cost of CVA plus debts (£35m Ish?) plus car parks and infrastructure and so on. That's a saving my misses dreams about on boxing day so the average Multi millionaire businessman must of course see it the same way and will be fighting each other with swords and muskets for the chance to get a piece of that bargain right? In all seriousness any buyer will either want the club to have fun or make some money. They would have to have a really serious amount of wedge to buy Pompey as a play thing and a serious amount of skill to turn Pompey into a proper cash cow. I really don't think either exist and I very much doubt a serious buyer will be found until the current mob that claim millions are owed are gone. It needs the debts wiped and a sensible fan to take the club on for a quid and rebuild slowly. Until Baloo has taken his share I can't see that happening either so this thread could well his 2000 pages before the saga is over.

I actually think that vlad Antonov or what ever his name is would still pass the FAPPT due to him still not being convicted of anything. He may have more of a problem with proof of funds but still...
-
Fair enough, didnt expect it to be much but fair play to him for looking to make the change. Wonder if we will be bringing in another to help him adjust as we did with Delgado?
-
Think TADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA would be better
-
How was his english?
-
Thats true actually. The club will need to re-think their idea that shirts are only sold via the club shop and will have to find a way to get them into general sports shops everywhere if they want to make the most of shirt sales anywhere else.
-
I think the 19000 figure is just to make a point. For a player with only 10 caps thats not a bad following and the potential to increase if he does well with us and gets into the Prem is quite large I would say. Also not all of his true followers will be on twitter so there is potential via many other streams in the asian market. Lallana only has 10K on twitter and Chaplow 8K I think. I would guess at most of Lallana's being saints fans with Chaplows followers ranging over the few clubs he has been at. Tada's tweets are all in Japanese by the looks of it and dont think he has been at many clubs so I wonder why his followers are following him? Club followers or national? Scoring the winner in the Asia cup must of gained him a fair few from all over Japan and if he moves here his Japanese following maybe more due to the national link and in turn raise our profile over there. If we and he does well it will no doubt gain us some asian supporters so the whole shirt sale thing must be worth the clubs effort to tap into.
-
presuming it all goes through and work permit gets approved will he be the most followed player at the club? 19000 followers on twitter!! watch @rchap04 and co start begging for followers now! lol

Think they said on SSN earlier that Conference clubs voted to relegate a club in admin that couldnt repay its debts or something. Not sure if that means that the coming CVA is the debt they will need to make sure they pay, or if they mean what ever they owe when going into admin is what they will need to agre to pay back as the CVA or get relegated? I can imagine debts at that level being huge if they are up to a Million which would be tough enough but can you imagine what would of happened to Pompey if that was a rule for all the leagues? Or us for that matter? Our main chunk of debt was the mortage at around £30 million, would anyone have come in for us had they known debt had to be paid back in full or face further sanctions? With the levels of debt on some clubs through the leagues I very much doubt a rule would ever get passed but if a league were to be setup with these rules in place would it create a better brand and a more competitive/enjoyable product if top teams/players were involved?
-
I personally think no points will be given now but if they don't find some money in the next month or so they will be in a position where it will be very difficult to avoid. If the money runs out they will have to go into admin themselves and therefore take the hit for points. And as others have said, it should be -10 + others due to previous admin. Let's see what AA can drum up for them in the short term though as he has history of getting them out of the crap.

I remember the bin bags had the price sticker on them from a shop called moors I think. A little newsagents at the bottom of the slope with co-op at the top? The chicken thing was made up like he had been injecting the eggs to try and make some kind of super chicken or something but feeding his mum to them wasn't mentioned. The only thing they found of his mum was the tag that goes on her crutches saying where they are from. Think they were moorhaven hospital crutches which was where my mum worked at the time. All the info we have got is from memory and as someone said it sounds like the making of a movie but can't find the guys name anywhere or find somewhere to see that doc again.
-
Yeah that's the guy! Tried searching for Daniel rosenthal but found nothing. It was a big thing when I was a kid so surprised its so hard to find out about.
