  1. LOL I didnt think an owner could own 2 teams anyway????? If they own a team already how can they then buy a 2nd team????? More fantasy football logic being applied by Android it seems.
  2. I love the way the blue few see things. Even though we hate Lowe possibly more than you lot we can still see that we went into admin as soon as the banks pulled the plug and we had no other way to trade. Had we continued to trade whilst insolvent then further penalty's could have been applied. The FACT that it was the holding company that went into admin and not the football club should have fit in with the rules that were plain and simple with the FL. They changed there view and we got punished. It wasnt a sneeky master stroke that was being pulled by any means. It was worth a go but thats it. Cant blame anyone for trying even if not many thought it was right. You got your points last season and thats the end of it. Trouble is, your lot look like they have ben in the poop for some time so get ready for further penaltys for the way the business has been run for the past few years. Thats something our lot dont have to wait around for.
  3. I was thinking the same thing but the only way they could carry the points from last season over to this IMO was by using the FL's cut off date in much the same way as our situation. We missed the cut off date rightly or wrongly and it was down to the FL changing its rules on parent company's and all that. Had we taken the hit before the 3rd Thursday in March then we would have taken the points in the same season and it would have been done with. Poopy went into admin at the end of Feb I think although I think there was some wavering on what was going on for some time. I thought that they didnt officially go into admin until later but I cant find anything that says it happened past the end of Feb. With that in mind and going by the FL rules they did it before the cut of date and there points deduction onoly gets to happen once and ours twice. It sucks but thats the rules they follow. Financial irregularitys and failed CVA's will carry points deductions though so they are not clear. They just escape an automatic -10 at the start of the season for going into admin.
  4. But where as any normal Administrator would be doing there upmost to come out of admin sooner rather than later whilst getting the best deal possible for the creditors AA is playing fantasy football with a no mark club on the south coast. Whats the bets he keeps them in admin while arguing its still everyone else's fault?
  5. I wouldnt be suprised if they do get some as the CVA looks a bit shakey right now for a start. They may just buy more time and not exit admin for the rest of the season and re-attempt at a CVA later on to try to get round that one but the financial irregularitys look to be there biggest threat right now. That prob wont do anything until the liquidation takes place and the former owners are investigated via that process. With Redcrap and Milan and Storieteller no longer with the club, any punnishments they recieve may well just effect them and Poopy might be left alone again. In years to come it seems they will become the model of how to run a club badly and get away with it!!!
  6. We were docked points in our relegation season, we were also not actually in administration as it was our parent company that was. It didnt stop us getting docked points the following season and if Poopy went into admin after the FL cut off date I can see no reason why they should be treated in the same way as us. The FL set an example with us and now they should follow suit with Poopy. If they went into admin after what ever the cut off date was in the FL then there points should be carried over to this season. Any other outcome would mean they have gained an advantage from going into admin that other teams around them didnt have. I dont really care if we argue the toss to improve our situation as given time we will be back on top anyway. But I doubt the rest of the FL will be too happy that a so called Prem team gets preferential treatment if nothing more is done. EDIT: Just looked up the dates that they went into Admin and it was the end of Feb. The cut off date for the FL is the 3rd Thursday in March I think so by that rule they served there punnishment in the Prem. Im gutted! lol
  7. Personally I cant see how the FL can let them join the CCC without any points penalty. Im pretty sure Poopy went into Admin pretty late in the season and therefor after the date that FL clubs have to stick by so to keep things fair in the FL Poopy should be treated in the same way. That would mean they start with -10 automatically. Then on top of that there is the possibility of further points reductions for possibly failing to come out of admin with an agreed CVA and even more for the financial irregularitys. It would be nice if these penaltys are spread over a couple of seasons. Rather than being hit with so many points in the CCC that relegation is certain but the following season a clean slate is created. But the FL still havent said one way or the other. The administrators and press still seem to report things as if they will start the CCC on 0 points. If that happenes then where does it leave us? Is there room to challenge our - points for this last season? Or would there be an argument for FL clubs to challenge Poopy's 0 points status? When will the FL speak up and say whats lilkly to happen? When will someone publicly ask the FL?
  8. TBH I am not that sure what the date was this year but Poopy went into admin pretty close to the end of the season so I would be suprised if it was after the FL cut off date. The FL still have not said one way or the other though so I think everyone is presuming there will be no deductions provided the CVA is agreed.
  9. Has the FL confirmed that there will be no points penalty next year for Poopy? I know they have no rule to cover teams dropping out of the prem in Admin but there rules for clubs in the FL are pretty straight forward. If a club goes into Admin after a certain date and relegation happened without the points penalty then the points would then be carried forward to the following season. If FL clubs get treated in this way but a club from the prem gets treated differently would the likes of Luton, Leeds and Us have grounds to argue our deductions or Poopy's lack of deductions? Why should a club from the prem not be treated the same as clubs in the FL? All the reports suggest that Poopy would not get a deduction next year if the CVA is ageed but I havnt seen the FL state that is the case anywhere. If we didnt have the - points we would have made it to the play off's which would have been worth a few quid, let alone the possability that we could then have been promoted by it. If Poopy dont get a deduction even though they went into admin the same as we did after the cut off date I wonder if NC will bother raising it with the FL?
  10. I have only just seen the report on SSN about the rejected bid. Its funny how they think its OK to offer 20p in the pound but they wont accept the same for one of there players. How come it only seems like we are the only ones that think the whole situation there is rotton to the core? Everyone else still seems like they want to let them get away with anything they can.
  11. RIP Mary. Gone but never forgotton. x
  12. The booking fee question was answered when most of us bought tickets for the JPT final. Its all about transparency. Instead of paying £15 for the ticket and not knowing what its for you pay £12 for the ticket and £3 for the booking fee. They get charged the booking fee to sell the ticket to us so they are just passing that cost on in a more transparent way. No hidden costs or extra's and all that. Could argue that its too much or for 1 group booking there should only be 1 Booking fee but people instead argue about naff all for the sake of it.
  13. You say that about NC yet you have those 2 on your avatar?????? EDIT: To be fair you could have had Gordon Brown and I would have said the same thing.
  14. I think one of the problems we had was that with so many managers wanting to add there own players to the team it was only a matter of time before we ended up with a squad full of chaff. Even WGS brought in a number of players that did nothing and he was one of our more successful managers. Lowe was probably the main reason behind so many managers but the players identified to come in must be down to the managers here at the time. If NC changes managers as often as Lowe did then its very possible that we end up with another team of players that dont work well together and we could end up struggling. Although I can see what the OP is trying to get at I dont actually thing NC will be making the same mistakes as Lowe and with the financial backing Lowe never had I cant see us deliberatly going for too many cheaper options at the expence of success.
  15. If it is to be run as a business then they must have thought the product warrents a certain price tag. Sling in a few decent level signings over the summer and a serious push for the top 2 then the price tag may start to look like its worth it. Just because ML has wads of dosh I think it is sensible for the club to try to run it making its own funds rather than constantly drawing on ML. I think the thing that more people are hacked about is the small time frame that they need to find the cash. Maybe it would have been helpful for the club to leave the installment plan but warn that plan will be gone next year?
  16. I think there are a few factors that are not being thought about. With no half season ticket the only chance we all have at a cheaper way to see as many games as possible is to get the season ticket now. We are also going to be expected to be challenging for the top 2 and with that comes winning more games. The further we go winning games the more likly it will be that people want to turn up and see the games. The more that dont get the season tickets means there will be more people paying more for there seat. If we are near the end of the season and looking at winning the league I wouldnt be suprised if we are almost filling SMS every chance we get. Anyone who doesnt renew this year will then not get the renewal price the following year which could then go up even more as we will hopefully be in the CCC. So they will be paying up front with no installments even more than what is required now. Imagine back to back promotions and the thought that over 2 seasons the money that could have been saved may make a few more that dont want to renew dig deep and stump up the cash. In the long run I think the club will gain more.

Think injury's played a bigish part in that. The only thing that got either Poke or Bevan out of the team was injurys and both seemed to earn to keep the shirt when they had there chance. I thought Poke would end up down here when we released him. But then I also thought they would have done as much as possible to get rid of Forcast and keep Poke.
  18. I went for David James as I think he could really finish them off lol
  19. Thanks to Arizona for pointing this thread out. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11700_6172487,00.html
  20. Appologies if this is elsewhere http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11700_6172487,00.html If he is the best LB in League 1 and we have Harding who is also 1 of the best LB's in league 1 and we have Mill's who has done well and is expected to be come a very good LB..... Why do we need another LB?
  21. Wether or not the strike is wright or not I think Walsh's part in it has not helped the matters at all. The many problems or spin that keep getting brought up usually have either Unite or Walsh as the core components. If both of those were out of the picture and replaced with A N Other would there be so many problems?
  22. you dont half remember some sht GM lol
  23. Only because ive had 15 years service and Unite are on my side. Your on the new contract and have to post your arse off to get a small percentage of my postwizardry.
  24. No on the 1st and we plan to go abroad at the end of the summer on a last minute deal. Im guessing that as I will be booking around a day or so before we go I will know if there is a strike on or not so its possible (price permitting) that I do book a BA flight. Whats that got to do with anything I posted?
  25. lol im way down the list with 47 (now 48 ) Go Nick Go!!!!
