  1. Close of play Thursday is the deadline. In the leeds case they lodged the appeal 24 hours before the deadline was due. So 5pm tomorrow could be the new Friday Thursday for us.
  2. If HMRC appealed just 24 hours before the deadline in the leeds case, Does that make tomorrow 5pm the new Friday for us?
  3. Trying to keep Englands No. Goalie for a start doesnt really look like the club is anywhere near its bones, planning a £10-£13M wage limit for its team doesnt either. I dont like to compare us to them but I wonder how much our last years wage output was before we went into Admin? As nasty as it was at least we really did try to cut costs when we had to. That news piece fails to even contemplate that there was any need to do anything about the problems they created themselves.
  4. Can I pay in installments?
  5. over half of that was due to back pay and bonus's. If he got the pay when he should have would anyone have made a meal of it? Not sure what the school is like or what it was like before he turned up but if someone is going to offer cash to get things done is it his fault for taking up the challenge? As for capping the salery to the same as the PM, I think thats ridiculas. Would that capping also include free accomodation around the country, or a nice fat expences account?
  6. He also said right at the beginning when the debt kept going up that once the debt was proven it would most probably fall. So worst case scenario £130, by the time the debt was proven???? Then at this point he could get on with creating a CVA proposal, pressumabley because he now knows who is owed what and only those that are legitimatly owed something will be able to vote. I dont get how after the vote he can claim that debt still needs to be proven?????? I could have sent them a bill for £20M FFS just to get a vote on the CVA. Sod proving it till after at which point I can say I was mistaken but thanks for the vote. lol
  7. Surely if they were liquidated there would be no need for any points penalty as they would be dust? lol
  8. I love the way they see the football club as being more important than the taxes that pay for school's, national health care, forces, childrens hospitals, police, fire service and many other worthy services that IMO rank much higher than any football club.
  9. To give him the benifit of doubt Mullins is probably more well known that Lambert. How the yanks will react to that one being there big name could be interesting though.
  10. TBF our club is not trying to sell its self as a team full of players from the WC. Our oponents in pre-season I assume will be quite pleased to be up againts L1's top scorer when billed to be against our recognised 1st team, but I guess they would be disapointed if we turned up with the saints XI that went to Winchester City on Saturday that included recognised (pro lol) Anthony Pulis.
  11. Ah that makes sence and I think thats what I was missing. If all else fails the club doesnt automatically just continue with slapped wrists. It also has a real chance of one of the creditors pushing it to be wound up and there fore who ever manouvered the club into this position would be left with a fat load of F all. For a min I was thinking the more crap they got into the more they could get away with.
  12. Yeah I understand that if the club were to get liquidated and get shut down then everyone loses out. But if Chanrai has puppet mastered AA into serving up an offer that will in the end get rejected only for Chainrai to step in at the end offering just 1p in the pound as opposed to the 20p currently then he will have a club that is alive (just) for allot less than he was expecting. Surly that is an even better situation for him? I dont understand how the club if it were to still exist would not still be chased for something more than 1p in the pound. Why would any business bother to look to pay more off when the ultimate option is what Chainrai might do?
  13. ah fair enough. I just thought that creditors would only get bugger all/next to nothin if the club is liquidated and there are no assets worth anything. Figured pretty much all other routes would leave a door open for creditors to at least try to get something back. A club that ditches all of its debt and sticks 2 fingers up to everyone while still continuing to trade and look to make money seems even less right than anything they have done already. Also seems like the best way out for any owner of a club. screw it up, offer a rubbish settlement so everyone rejects it, then buy it for bugger all and pay back nothing. If the club is shut down and the assets are sold off would the football creditors rule be null and void? so effectivly the liquidators would get as much money they can from all assets and would be able to share it out more evenly between all creditors?

    Bart

I think he has been good at his level but asking him to step up this much might not do him any good. Suppose those at the club would know better. Did he travel with the rest of the 1st team or did he get left behind too?

    Bart

I must have missed it when we said were out of the reserve league. I thought that was Poopy? Can understand why we and any other half decent teams drop out of them leagues though as they serve as of no benifit to teams at either end of the tables. Releasing Poke was crazy. He is set up perfectly to be KD's number 2 and given a run in cup matches could of really pushed him on in time to maybe take over from KD in the future. I actually thought Bart might want the step up sooner so would have prob left leaving the door open for Poke. Now it looks like Bart does want to go I wonder what there plan is? Do they look to get bad forcast good enough to be back up or look to buy someone thats happy to sit behind KD? I would have thought that if they do look to bring someone in then they wouldnt simply look to find a 2nd best but look to get someone better than what we have. Where would that leave KD?
  16. the 3 in bold prob wont still be there at the start of the new season along with a few others on that list. I doubt Mokoena will be there or Rocha. They cant sign anyone or renew contracts of James, Kanu and HH until the CVA gets passed and if HMRC apeal then the embargo will prolly be kept in place even longer. If they come out of Admin without the CVA then the FL can punnish them with a further Transfer Embargo. With the ship sinking that fast I think they will find it hard to keep most of there squad from wanting away.
  17. No idea if thats right or not but it sounds like more fag packet maths from the blue few. I would have thought the creditors could still appeal and take the club to court to recover its loses. Doesnt matter if someone new owns the club or not. Just a guess though. Need Clapham Saint or someone to confirm maybe?
  18. Just realised they got rid of Papa Bouba Diop yesterday. Looks like they were after around £1M but the actual fee was un-disclosed. How can a club in Admin make un-disclosed transfers? I thought that when it gets to the point of admin just about all financial dealings would be made much more public? For a club that has been run so badly a bit of transparency would be a welcome change to the clubs fans I would have thought. The un-disclosed figures would only get revealed when the club gets liquidated anyway so whats the point of keeping quiet now?
  19. Ideal situation would have the entire squad on tour but I doubt they would postpone the tour while they wait to tie up all deals. We have lost more 1st team players than we have signed so I wouldnt be suprised if we see anyone else come in. I wonder if someone was signed tomorrow, would they be sent out to join the squad or would they be kept back till the squad return?
  20. TBH I didnt notice Wooton in that pic. I was trying to see the tell tale signs of someone photoshopping a new body under Lalana's head!!! He doesnt look like he has much holiday on the off season and must have spent every day in the gym FFS!
  21. I will be amazed if they dont appeal on this one. They wont want to appear to be happy about letting 80% of what they are owed go on funding a clubs promotion push back to the big time for a start. Can you imagine local business' taking the same kind of stance as poopy? The football creditors rule is crazy when you think of what the tax's go on. The forces, National Health service, Police and Fire Service are funded by the tax's paid in this country so to be put behind paying off rich football players ahead of them is a joke. Even if they think they have no chance of winning I believe they would still throw an apeal in at the last min just to make things difficult for the FL and one of its members. With an appeal in place the transfer embargo will still be in place and poopys chances of preparing for the coming season will be even harder. They may be forced to leave Admin without the CVA and the FL will have to dish out further points. If they continue to make things as difficult as possible for any club that goes down this route it may help them persuade the leagues to change the football creditors rule to make it more fairer for them and maybe even others.
  22. He is not that bad a player and he could do a job in most teams from mid table prem downwards. I honestly still wouldnt value him over £5M though. I guess he is a bit like a Robbie Savage as in if he is in your team you would excuse him but if he isnt then you wouldnt want him cause he is a cokc!
  23. surely his market value cant be over £5M at the moment. Spent half the season injured in a team that spent most of the season rooted to the bottom of the league. Had a few moments of looking good and has done fairly well for Ghana who only did a little better than expected. If a player is worth 5M then the selling club will usually want something closer to 6M while the buying club will be looking closer to 4M. Throw a club that is desperate to get any cash in the door and the price they will except plummits. Why any club would pay over the odds when they can save themselves at least half of that money is potty.
  24. "A bid as low as £7M"????? Do Liverpool not know the situation Poopy are in? Not being funny but any club wanting to buy a player from a club firmly in the poop would not seriously offer silly money for one of there players. Its in Liverpools interest to pay as little as possible for any player. Paying £7M would be barmy IMO. Not sure he is Liverpool staandard either so I doubt there fans would be overly impressed to see that kind of money get spunked on a mid table level player.
  25. Well I like it.
