Not sure if thats alloud to happen or not but I think its one of the things HMRC are questioning. Everyone got to vote based on what they thought they owed. There share may decrease after when they have to prove it for a second time though. Handy Andy thought he should reduce HMRC's bit for them before there vote so I guess they didnt need to prove anything after as AA took care of it. Based on football creditors and secured creditors votes I guess that wasa a large chunk of the 75% they needed to vote in favour. Didnt there ex manager (a football creditor entitled to 100% of his debt) vote against it also?

My wife's cousin met him a few years back when he still played for arsenal. She spent 20 mins talking to him before she asked what he did for a living. When he said he is a footy player she asked if he was any good. Someone else later explained exactly who he is and the penny dropped. Lol Still I thought she had a fair question anyway. Edit: oh the point to the above was, she was convinced he was chatting her up and I questioned her as I thought he bats for the other team too.

One of the comments said something interesting. Think it might be someone off here but doesnt matter. "The fact that SC doesn't fancy him isn't really the FLs problem. They stipulate a minimum of 20 players, not a minimum of 20 players that the manager rates." I wonder how the FL will treat this? If Poopy pay off a load of contracts to get them out of the door and then ask the FL if they can bring in others to make up the 20 it will surly be to late for the FL to argue as there own rules say there must be 20. Should they not speak up now and tell Poopy they can only release players that are out of contract anyway or something?

Yeah of course. I was thinking that when it gets to court it will be in much more detail. aa's refusal to even explail why HMRC's debt had been adjusted at the CVA meeting wont have gone down well but he wont be able to do the same in court. With it being in much more detail I guess it will lead to more of a swipe at the law in general rather than Poopy's specific case. Are HMRC just going after Poopy hoping to nail them to a wall in order for other clubs to think twice about crossing them or are they going after the rules that allow Football clubs to get away with so much, using Poopy to highlight the issues it wants to raise?
-
On the flip side, If they are the current rules then surly its down to what the 2 parties can negotiate and agree on? Just because Poopy are stupid enough to agree over inflated demands doesnt make what they did as wrong??? HMRC need to prove that this practice is wrong and to get the loop hole either closed or moderated to make sure that they can tax where ever possible. Not sure they will string Poopy up over this one but they might use Poopy as an example of how the current law leaves a route for tax evasion and in turn may be able to change the law to stop it. If they can prove aa has fiddled the figures to suit then that could really be bad news for the blue few as I guess the alternatives are to start the whole process off again with new administrators (doubt the funds would add up to allow that) or for aa to hit the liquadise button and be done with it?
-
That sounds about right. I thought they challenged the legitimacy of aa's firm being independant administrators based on them being brought in specifically by Chainrai who at the time was in th same boat as everyone else. I think the thought was that the administrators would lean to work for Chainrai before anyone else. I dont think they actually came out and said as such though. When it came down to it aa's firm are registered administrators and are meant to be bound to the same rules any other administrators they probably didnt have much to go on so dropped there date in court. Wouldnt suprise me if they have been looking for anything that suggests they are in fact working in the best intrests of Chainrai and I bet they would love to ram there findings up his arse when they get there date in court. Heres hoping.

This guy is brilliant. His remit is to try to get the best deal for the creditors but he has abandoned that idea and swapped it for playing some fantasy football and a few trips away on the expenses. Poopy fans must be so thrilled to know he has the clubs best interests at hart and must be looking forward to the years ahead supporting there club as it goes from strength to strength. LOL
-
Haha I have just read the latest AA rant on SSN about KPB. How he can calmly try and shaft so many while also thinking everyone else should pay top dollor to help bail the club out of the poop is beyond me. Clubs will automatically try to pay the lowest price possible for a player and buying from a club in admin is usually the cheapest place to shop. When AA realises getting something for KPB is better than paying his inflated wages he will bring his valuation of a mid prem level player down to the same as other clubs are willing to pay. The only way he will get more will be if more than one team want to buy him and are willing to out bid each other.

He seems perfect for poopy as it seems he can count as well as the people that have been running the club, "We know how important it is to have that embargo lifted ASAP with us having only six players." That must also be the reason they didnt do too well in the 1st game in the states. Only fielding half a team is going to have its draw backs.
-
Im not sure I actually want them to be liquidated and gone for good. Punnished accordingly and maybe made an example of in the interest of getting other teams to play fairly sure but it would be nice for them to have some form of club left so we can hope for some derbys in the future. Some of there fans are actually starting to see what we have been able to for ages and in a strange way I feel sorry for them as if it was our team going through this I would be devistated by the idea that our club had been ru so badly that it tried to f**k over so many.
-
Lol took me a week to figure out how to get the one I got but will get right on it asap. Let's all laugh at poopy, let's all laugh at poopy, la la laa la.....

I agree and think the current CVA stinks. If a club is run badly it should IMO be forced to make every effort to deal with its debts before it trys to go on a march to be hugely successful again. If the 4p in the pound is accepted and Poopy get through the next 5 years relitvly unscathed, it would take the P if they were then to bring in a load of players and go on a promotion push making the owner a load of cash. If someone came in and bought the club while giving a fair payout to those owed hard earned then I doubt many would be complaining. Its just the obvious push from Chainrai to try and get the club for naff all so he can make a few quid later on. If he was stupid enough to lend the club money in the 1st place then he is as guilty as those who ran the club into the ground so why shouldnt he be part of making things right? As long as HMRC or someone does appeal then at least the crooks wont have got things all there own way. I wonder if Griffins CVA was the main one, would HMRC have accepted that or still appealed?
-
If they dont play and are on £2 to £3K a week and he is releasing them cause they not good enough, Who does he expect to come in on less that are any better?
-
In the comments below someone is suggesting that they can now sign David James as they have been given permission to sign a keeper. Surley that would be another 2 fingers up to the creditors and league as they currently have Ashdown on trial who they released at the end of the season. Go bust, Release 2nd choice keeper, get him back on trial, then sign Englands No.1 cause you dont have enough keepers? All while trying to suggest there is no pot to P!55 in!
-
Ah more than likley your right. Doesnt rule it out for one for the future and I would have thought the leagues would lean towards helping an AFC Poopy get going while being strict on PFC that has take the p!55
-
I said yesterday in this thread that HMRC appealed 24 hours before the deadline was due in the Leeds case so depending on what time the deadline expires, 5PM Thursday or Midnight Thursday, or any other options could mean that HMRC do the same and pick one of those times today to get it done.
-
No deductions from just the appeal. If poopy decide to come out of admin without the cva then they are up for something like -15 to -17 I think. Possibly due to them being in admin before. Not sure where that leaves the transfer embargo though. I suppose the league can punish them for no CVA by keeping the embargo or holding back there golden share. They could realistically be liquidated and then there will be no points penalty at all as they wont have a club anyway. That will leave the Poopy family to start up there own AFC poopy a few leagues below us (if the leagues let them in). If that were to happen I actually wish them good luck and hope they get to a level were we can have some decent derby's again. All the options seem pretty remote but something is going to happen and none of it looks good for the blue few.

I wouold guess its got something to do with the Jason Statham Charecter in Snatch?
-
Scoreline was far from what we wanted but as far as the team are concerned most players got a run out and 2 formations were tried. 1st game for us and last of pre-season for them and all that. Will serve as a stick to beat the team with as pares no doubt will demand better. Bit of a shame the other saints xi lost too but at least things can only get better.
-
I am a twit but I'm not there so fat lot of good that will do ya. Lol
-
Can still happen. If the appeal is successful the the club will be firmly in the poop. Worst case scenario on that on is they end up being wound up, liquidated and the investigation goes ahead as planned. Execs would be crapping themselves should that happen. Plenty more can and prob will happen before it looks at that stage though.

I worked at the BAE site there years ago on a project with a mate. The local guy insisted on showing us round the offices and wanted to point out all the "fittys"!!!!! I explained before to my mate who is constantly on the pull and being a manc didnt care if she was a fish, that there would be nothing worth a sniff. The local guy proved me right when he pointed out the eledged "best looking bird on site"!!! My mate just said 1 word and walked back to our desks. "WRONG!!!" We spent the rest of the week trying unseccessfully to find anything that resembled a half decent looking bird. Last day driving out of the gate wearing my saints shirt waving at the security guard was pretty funny though. He spent all week not even contemplating where I could be from and was all chatty. Turned his back when he saw the shirt. lol

Sorry, another teacher bashing thread I'm afraid......

TBF I read it that the OT he was paid was not typically OT for his normal dutys. Enough was suggested that the OT was for Extra work outside his normal running of the school. So your link above makes more sense. The press likes headlines though and a bit of reasearch would have made this less of a story so they probably didnt bother. -

If they could of employed a head teacher at that school in that location for 50k do you really think they would have offered 80 odd? I cant imagine heads of even the biggest schools in my area to be on that kind of money and think 50K would be a fairer guess but I doubt any of them would take 50K to do the same job working in South London. The average wage of someone in IT is around 35K according to the advert. Do I complain I am way off the average?
