Blimey I didnt realise that. Didnt aa spend some time trying to get hold of a foreign club trying to find out which way they would be voting? I thought back then he said he didnt understand why they were hard to get hold of as there vote was for 100%. But thinking about it now, he is full of Sheeeite and if they were only going to get %20 he really had to work hard to get them to vote for. Which way did they vote in the end anyway?
-
Really? I thought as football creditors they would still be up for 100%? The FA's rules mean clubs in the FA's leagues have to abide by them. If a foreign club goes into admin oweing an english club cash then they can whistle for it as it wont effect them entering there leagues.

That was my point. The ground that they will no doubt be renting doesnt draw in enough support to pay for a CCC level club yet the skate was trying to compare to Barcelona and there how many thousand seater stadium??????
-
Thing is, they could sell half there squad and be debt free. Any club running on massive debt IMO is playing a dangerous game. Pompy's game has bought relative success over a few seasons but failed to generate enough support to service their expendature. Global brands of Manu U, Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Liverpool although running on massive debt or massive investment are big enough clubs so that if all goes to the wall they have the brands that could sell there way out. Pompy have...........

Im almost in the same boat. I have an 18 year old that lives away with his mum all the time. For some reason the CSA think I should carry on paying for him till he is 19. Strange but not arguing. My other 2 are with there mum 4 nights and me 3 nights. IMO 3 nights each should be covered by ourselves, and the extra night is what I should be paying for. That seems far too logical though. I was told however that if one of my kids stayed with me just that 1 extra night the claims each way would cancel each other out and there would be no payment either way. I would get child benifit and so on for one and she would get it for the other. So bang down the middle seems like the only fair way of doing things. Slightly one side of the other and one person is dragged through the streets by there balls. Your situation sounds like there is something not right though. the child thats with you 100% I take it is not your ex's? I have a step son thats with us perminently. CSA have supposedly been chasing his so called father for the last 7 years and got no-where. Which just goes to wind me up further when they phone me up all arsey cause they have made a mistake. Cause he is here the CSA take it into account and reduce how much I have to pay for mine or something but thats where I lose the will to live and start to not understand there logic at all. The system was set up to reign in the tossers that couldnt give a flying F about there kids but is used to hammer the parents that stand up to be counted. The tossers they were after continue to fiddle the books and strut about without a care in the world.

Would infractions be based at 20% over 5 years of there normal value?

My ideas are just hypothetical and many things could be done differently to change things completely. Just cause English players don't play abroad now it doesn't mean we won't produce players that could do in the future no matter what the pay scales are anywhere. It will be interesting to see what happens short term and long term if HMRC win. IMO it would be a good thing for them to win and it should set some decent ground rules for any other club. The issue on tax for sports people has been brought up by usain bolt but the results of that could make a difference to all sports. If something is done it may be possible to pay sports stars less but there take home is still more than they would get elsewhere. That could then open the door further for the top stars coming here. Like unsaid, it's all hypothetical but the poopy case could change a lot of things in the future.

It could well be used to turn englands fortunes around in the long term. If it makes financial sense to invest in youth and build from the bottom up. Something we are already investing in so it could bode well for us if others have to follow suit. What happens when we produce some world class players that will get better paid abroad though? Do they stick by the UK club that built them up to where ever they are while accepting a lower take home pay or do they look to get good and then go where the money is abroad?
-
No idea, it's needed though and would probably change the balance of some of the so called top clubs sitting on a mountain of debt.
-
I'm not saying it is the best league. I think the UK leagues are among the best in the world but couldn't single out the prem for anything special. It's up there for sure but there are a lot of problems that if sorted out would make it plumit.
-
Yeah I agree there needs to be some kind of regulation on football in general. But is that really going to happen any time soon? The image rights tax dodge needs to be closed down as it is a blatant P take but if company's, football or otherwise, want to bring the best talent to the uk, the standard tax laws mean most sportsmen/women will more likely choose country's that let them have more of the money they earn. This could either mean clubs don't bother competing for the best players as they run within realistic budgets or they pay even more exagerated wage demands to compete with what other country's can offer.
-
I think what the prem and possibly the fl will be worried about, is the risk of not being able to attract the top football stars to come play in the uk. The tax laws here are awful compared to many other country's and maybe it's this tax dodge that encourages top players to come. If the FCR gets over turned, clubs pay less for players but up front, miss out on the best players cause after tax wage demands are too high and the uk leagues are weaker than they previously have been. Why would top earners choose the uk over Spain? This could be the beginning ofthings being done properly but could it also be the beginning of the UK leagues losing there grasp of being some of the best in the world? Edit: Sorry I am mixing the FCR and image right issue up a bit above but both have implications which could effect who will come to the UK in the future. 1 from clubs not being able to afford massive transfer fee's up front and the other of offering wages that compete with wages in the rest of Europe. Either way it could make things tricky for UK clubs. Should UK tax laws be looked at for sportsmen and women? Not just in football but in all sports. What's his face who is fast as foo k won't run here unless it's a major tourny cause he doesn't want to get whacked for tax.

Exactly. There voting in favour was no more than voting in favour of the administrator producing a CVA. I was suprised that there was a vote needed at that point to be honest as surly the creditors were only waiting around for a CVA to be produced so they could vote on it. Why should they have to vote for the administrator to actually produce one in the 1st place? I cant see how the admistrator can stand up in court claiming that HMRC voted in favour of them producing a CVA so there vote should not now count cause they later voted against the actual CVA. If there arguments against the HMRC really are that week then the court case will be over my lunch time or possibly longer to allow for the judge to stop laughing at the idiot that is AA.

I read it as Pards is not happy that NC has not publicly backed him so he is going to sell everyone in order to donate a load of cash to the skates. Think we should worry?

Yeah a mate of mine was inside sharing a cell with the dj that got sent down from dance academy. I never got to go there cause I was working at a club in torquay at the time. as soon as that closed we used to go to the monestery in torquay for al all nighter where people from dance academy joined us. Recent Monestery re-union took place in torquay with all the old dj's. Was a good night but funny seeing how much the old ravers have aged. lol (including me)

LOL I just did that calculator and it said I have to pay nothing!!!! Wa nK!

On that 1st point, Did HMRC agree to voluntary liquidation or did they agree to aa proposing a cva with voluntary liquidation in it? I thought they just agreed for aa to propose a CVA so pushing for a compulsary liquidation now has naff all to do with anything. His comments about taking on a player for a few thousand a week being within there budget. Does that include the players like Ben Hiem, KPB and other high earners? Budget without these players would make a signing possible but surly as long as these players are still pompy players any wage budget must be blown out of the water. I dont think he made Pompys argument against the court case sound very strong in any of his responses. He might think they are confident but that may just be blind optimism. Roll on the 3rd!!!

When ever there is a decent DJ on. Think the last time there was Lisa Lashes at C103. Seen quite a few there and before that Candy Store next door had a few top DJ's. Go down to Newquay when they got decent DJ's on too. Did RTTS this year and Whitby before that. Back in Newquay for Darren Styles on the 3rd August. Not sure when im out in Plym again though. Couple of years ago we did the Mutly run followed by Barbican and then down to Union rooms via averywhere in between and then onto Candy Store. Finished off in the clipper with a navy mate who is in there all the time. Well always ends up in there anyway. lol. Not my kinda pub but then I wouldnt go in most of the places that my navy mate goes. lol

Not sure how much HMRC were owed but I thought they voted against the cva but didn't appeal or something???
-
Agree with all of that. Jesters is a nightmare. Lol Oceana is sh ite everywhere. Lol I'm a hard house ravey type so don't often catch me in poncey treasury. That's more my best mates kinda place cause he likes the plastic birds that go in there. Lol. Barbican is nice till the plastics over run it. Really depends on what you want in a night out but Plymouth has pretty much got all options.

Had the Griffin cva been the only cva and were it presented at the beginning then they would have had more chance to sell that value. I think there proposal was to sell any player possible also where aa thinks he only needs to sell one or two. On top of that however, some people have mentioned the Wimbledon administration in that football creditors were paid in full from a new buyer or from new funds coming in. Did the griffin cva have this in it or were football creditors being paid the same way aa's cva proposed?

There is of course nothing stopping them staying in admin.they would not be able to start season 2011/2012 still in admin.

LMAO. TBH I like it here. Quite and no trouble. Laid back way of life that can only better be enjoyed in a place where there is also surf. Cant really big Torquay up any more than that as there is bugger all here. lol I worked in Plym for a few years and hated every single one of them. Love going out there and im usually raving it up in C103. Cant be doing with all the fake plastic's in some of the so called "hip" places to go. Im not a shirt and shoes kinda bloke lol. But the extended hours defo helped allot. Plenty of places to go and depends on what kinda night you wanna have. somit for everyone there. Exeter got a few places to go out but nothin like Plym. Everyday Living I would still pick Exeter but going out it has to be Plym. Not a million miles away so easy enough to live in one and go out in the other. I still like things a little quieter for every day living and dont fancy living in a city again. Which is why Tobados suits me down to the ground.

I thought that if HMRC win its down to AA to go back and either come up with a new CVA, Liquadize the company or come out of admin without the CVA. 1st option would buy time and maybe produce something the Creditors including HMRC will accept, 2nd option must be more favourable to Chainrai if it looks like more money has to be paid back than before and 3rd option is unlikly as not only would it bring a massive points deduction but it wll also no doubt bring a few WUO's from HMRC and maybe a few more. EDIT: There is always the chance that another Appeal would happen from whoever loses the current appeal.

I think my Uncles house was 52 hobb lane. Just found it on google street view and the house looks pretty much the same as it did in the documentry lol
