Often debit card payments are not processed immediately so you'd just do the refund via the card machine and it will be done before the payments get processed. Now if freezing bank accounts mean no-one could buy using a debit card and tickets were proper cash only then my points mean nothing. Lol But I still doubt there would be enough cash in the office to deal with handing it back to everyone in one go so benifit of doubt again I can see a reason for them to restrict how refunds are handled. Now if they have already paid the players with that cash then they would be on very shakey ground!
-
I dont like to give them the benifit of doubt but if they offered cash refunds and several thousand turned up asking for them they would be stuck as I doubt they would be able to have that much cash in the ticket office. I mean even in normal circumstances. So maybe (benifit of doubt being given) they are offering DD card refunds but not cash?

HAHAHAHAHAHA that just got funnier and funnier the further it went on. Did JoCa really say all of that???? Thats just priceless! Some of it actually reminded me of some of the ideas Rupes had which had they taken off would of provided a decent wedge. We proved however that the ideas dont turn out as they were wished and the cash cow was more of a burden in the end. Ultimately its the success on the pitch that detirmin the proffit off of it. I do Hope JoCa gets the keys to Pompey. The ship wreck would be of truely epic proportions!!! LOL

HMRC have already been done out of nearly £30 million due to the last unpaid tax bill. I know it got reduced by way of a CVA while rich players and clubs take their 100% but as that CVA has not really been serviced yet you can understand HMRC being peeved. Also what other business hits hard times and takes administration which then enables them to get a reduced tax bill? Doesnt the Tax man get 100% outside of football? Its Local funding that eventually gets shafted when the tax man doesnt get paid and as long as HMRC keep letting football clubs get away with fleacing them there will always be another club ready to take them for a ride too. Sooner HMRC makes the FL and FA buckle and think more carefully about who they let run the clubs the better. If it takes putting a championship club out of business then so be it. I would rather have AFC Pompey rise through the leagues to be our true rivals and have future club ownership treated more fairly anyway.
-
Just think, Had they been open to selling 1 or 2 early January they could of paid the tax bill and looked like they were going to be OK. Now its a last minute fire sale and they are actualy thinking about playing the kids while hoping that they dont go pop completly. Karma or something or other.

Just got an arsenal supoporting work mate with Van Persie off then. Brilliant! )

At least they bothered to answer rather than the generic reply. 1 thing though, the regulations at the time of our admin stated that there would be no penalty issued when it was the parent company that went into admin. Lord Malwindbag even confirmed this before bending the rules and whacking us with a points penalty anyway. So why the harsh treatment on us and the give them time approach for the Blew Phew? Wonder if NC is monitoring all this at all? Any wrong move from the FL and NC could pipe up claiming we should get our points back or something. I bet Luton are keeping tabs on it too, the FL are on very shakey ground and the longer they give Pompey the more others should ask questions IMO.

If I see him again in Torquay this year I am defo going to have words! HMRC didnt get paid thier tax, gave them till the following bill was due and when that didnt come either they put a stop to it. Its not their fault that Pompeys Tax bill is so big, that would be down to the quality over quantity BS they went for!

If thats the case why were Ipswich trying to buy players via AA? Also does this put teh current PFC directors in the poo regarding responsability whilst trading insolvently?

I wonder why there has been no mention of Storries case during Arry's and Milan's? If that was to be kept quite until this case I would of thought it was due to something in that one having something to so with this one. So why no mention of it? Unless thats discussed in all the legal discussions that have gone on? What is the kind of thing discussed in those discussions anyway? Figuring out what they can or cant say? Bargaining with each other? Would be interesting to know what its all about IMO.

I think due to having the previous CVA agreed that means they exited correctly. I suppose any new administrations CVA would have to include the previous CVA's creditors to get the share that was intended. Football creditors and secured creditors would still come before anyone that are stuck in the Un-secured creditors pot from this time or the last. So HMRC who are still waiting for the 20p in the pound from last time would have to sit back and watch a new admin pay off rich players and clubs ahead of any payments to either of their claims. Something tells me they would really want PFC to go bust.

Actually there have been a few posts over the last few pages that have named our resident comical skate. If they were to be removed we might get a more poignant 50000th post?

You could be right, I took it that the fax was to move money out of the account but it could of been paying charges I guess?
-
Didnt Arry fax instructions to send 100K to the american account? If Milan has gone through the trouble of paying nearly double that into the Monaco account for Arry then why would he send 100k back to Milan? Could there be another Arry account in the states that it went to? Would HMRC be able to get details of that account like they did the monaco account or would a states account be protected differently?
-
Ah yeah your right on the figure, I used 30k as that was what he had mentioned in the NOTW bit the other day I think. But even still, 80k is still small fry compared to the kind of money being spoken about, so could this case be just the tip of a yet uncovered iceberg?
-
It also appears that depending on who is asking the questions will depend on which Storrie Arry is willing wil give. Pleed ignorance to the old bill while stitching his mate Milan up with the Press. One thing that does make me wonder though, with the amount of money he has it does seem odd to try and fleece 30k's worth of tax. If thats all its over then why bother? Obviously some effort has gone to do it and I cant see how they can get away with a guilty verdict but is that just scratching the surface of a much bigger scam that hasnt been uncovered? He could end up with a slap on the wrist for the 30k he should of paid, gets a guilty verdict but a fine and no jail trerm based on everyone thinking he is a bit thick and didnt realise. He could walk away thinking he has got away with all the stuff no-one has found and quite happy if thats the case?

If your going by the police interview where he sounds like he is pleeding complete ignorance on anything official then maybe. But the NOTW interview contradicts what he says slightly and so does the HSBC guys info as that suggests Arry was in control of the Monaco account and he even learnt to send a fax just for that purpose!! Ignorance or not it sounds like he knew enough about the account and what was in it to be able to give a bit more info to the police or his accountant when asked.
